Owner59: I do realize there are many law-abiding legal immigrants in the U.S. And some illegals - they can be law-abiding, too, I suppose - except that they're illegal.
Hey, I didn't write the U.S. Immigration laws. They are what they are. I am aware of all of the arguments about how they help the economy, etc. I think they do help the economy, and I think that's the main reason the enforcement money and more serious methods to deal with them just isn't happening (either someone should do that, or just raise the legal immigration quotas).
That, and of course much of our tax money is being spent on our ill-fated war in Iraq.
domiguy: I concede you do have a point, now that I consider what you said. But still, it's our tax money - and there are quite a few legel U.S. folks who are tired of scenarios, for instance, where they can hardly keep up with their own health insurance costs, yet, an illegal immigrant can just go to an ER and get free care, due to poverty, when they are not legal U.S. citizens - and U.S, citizens pay for it with taxes. I am not a Scrooge. I donate plenty of money to charity. Maybe the U.S just needs to raise the quota of legal immigrants it will allow into the country, or process the paerwork faster. I dunno.
But yes, prison is not a great way to live out one's days, for anyone, I imagine. I retract that statement. But I do think this sadistic and-or criminally yahoo needs to be in prison.
