I have read of a test conducted in France that confirmed what I know to be true.
I have seen demonstrated on TV people taking tests designed to prove the negative effects of miniscule amounts of alcohol and without exception young girls who have just reached the legal drinking age are chosen as subjects.
Why ? because this is not a genuine test, it is an attempt to make a point.

A Canadian snooker player Bill Werbeniuk not the best in the world but still good enough to reach the world finals was reknowned for consuming large quantities of alcohol and still performing at a very high level.
Likes wise with many UKdarts players.
The motor coordination and judgement required to  play Darts or Snooker at the top level is very very high. Much more so than driving a car.

How do you account for that then ?
By the way I do not defend drunken driving.

Status: offline 		Anxiety is a state that can seriously impair motor coordination and observational alertness. Driving in heavy traffic is known to raise anxiety levels. People who are naturally anxious are thus doubly disadvantaged

One of the first things brought under control by alcohol is.....anxiety this almost certainly accounts for the reduction in response times that are known to occur.
Folk law: one drink to steady the nerves. Intellectuals have often been caught short when deriding folk law.

In the UK statistics have been released showing that over 90% of people successfully prosecuted for failing the" breath test" have commited no moving traffic violation of any kind.

How do you account for that then !

Status: offline 		Never hurts to compramize. Master and I take turns when we go out on whom gets to be the designated driver, not switching every time for time, but depending on the circumstances at the time. I might have a slight cold or have taken a pain pill because of my back and than logically if we are going out, I am the one to drive. Master is diabetic and has to watch his alcohol intake anyway. If he has been bad, (eaten something that he would normally not like cake), than he gets to be the driver. Saves us cab money, assuming you could find one around her anyway, and still allows for safety.

Status: offline 		Tawney I don't have a license, nor do I know how to drive,  so naturally Daddy does all the driving. Though it's good you two switch up the driving responsibilities, that way with two capable drivers nobody is stuck in the hot seat all the time so to speak.

and to whomever mentioned it's tacky to take a drink back yes it is, that's why I do not take risks on drinks, I choose not to order if I am unsure I will like it, except the one time I ordered a bahama momma, and the waitress let me exchange it for a non alcholic drink no cost, cause I said honestly the drink was to strong and I knew I'd get megga sick trying to finish it. She was kind, that's not the normal procedure.
