I suppose it took from 2005 til now to find a lawyer that would actually take the case. I wonder how many people encouraged them to sue as well.  Countersuits for greed and prison for greedy lawyers might slow this type of thing down...oh that's right the lawyers manipulate...I mean interpret the laws.

Can I sue when they put ice in my drink when I say no ice?

It should be worth a million or two per cube if you ask me.

I think suing for my cube idea is a good idea...after all each cube is a potentical choking hazard that could lead to death.

haven't gone thru all the posts, sorry if its been addressed before. but has no one thought that the other two people would likely have ordered burgers to go as well, and DIDN'T check to make sure they had his? along the lines of taking responsibility for your own self, i suppose.

i'm sorry... it states that he was "near death"... if you are at the ER and you are "near death" your medical bill isn't going to be a lousy $700.  Try in the thousands of $$$$.  Greedy losers...

Was this commented on earlier... The SIXTH step would have been to open the bun and use the Mk I Eyeball to VISUALLY VERIFY the absence of cheese.

( And don't they label the QP & Royale w/ fromage differently with different colored boxes? Been a long time since I've had one... )

It looks to me like a piece of shit suit with no merit, brought on by opportunistic folks hoping to cash-in big.

If a person has a medical condition that severe, that volatile, that a ''bite of cheese'' could make them violently ill, they have no business eating at a fast food establishment --- that's typically ''manned'' by retards and illegal aliens--- in the first place.

It's my belief that a potential customer of one these establishments can have no reasonable expectation whatsoever in attaining nuanced menu choices to hundred percent of their liking.

Perhaps we can cobble together a class actions suit for dissatisfaction in general. Then we can sue the pants off them - http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/06/25/AR2007062500443.html

As for alergies - I live on the west coast, love sushi and last year suddenly became allergic to salmon! argh - shoot me now indeed...

Maybe that's not a good thing to say around some in this crowd.

They play a large part in making the laws too. so its not likely they will disadvantage themselves....is it ?

When I was a Judge at the Old Bailey many is the time I would have ordered a defence lawyer in a hopeless case to be flogged. I searched in vain for a relevent statute.
For example, a defendant claiming not to know he was holding a sledge hammer when he "pushed" an attacker, half his size , away so he, the defendant in the case, could make a getaway from the shop he just happened to be robbing.

Kinda hard to miss all that cheese hanging out like that.... The more I think about it, the more I think "scheme".....

I suspect what they are trying to do is get McDonalds to give them a large amount of money to go away.

I doubt this will ever see the light of day in court, especially after their hot coffee loss.

What they are working out is the amount of money, I imagine.
