Ok, we all know we all come here to chat, make friends in the lifestyle and have fun, but, How Does One Really and Seriously Get To Meet Anyone from ONline here, when all are so far away?

At the risk of parotting what has been said on numerous other threads... stop looking online and go to local events.

try looking in your own area, get to know the person a bit, and meet up.

“The decision to kiss for the first time is the most crucial in any love story. It changes the relationship of two people much more strongly than even the final surrender; because this kiss already has within it that surrender.”

Everybody is not far away.  I met over a hundred collarme users while living in California.  Met at least a couple of dozen since I've lived in the midwest so far as well.

It could be everyone you are interested in is far away?

Regardless of if its a Lifestyle friend or  someone you like. If you want to meet you have to put yourself out and travel. i have seen may posts from poeple who have made an LDR work.... Personally, i flew the Atlantic despite a fear of flying, so it was some first flight for me.

If you really wish to meet someone, it doesn't matter how far away you are.  I have never gone to munches or local events because that's not something that has ever - or probably ever will - interest me.  I chatted online over time with different folks and wasn't interested in meeting any of them really.  We shared some interests, of course, but there was just no one I felt like there was a real connection with.

Then the Man who is now my Master contacted me.  From day one, that connection was there for us both.  We spoke on the phone within the first couple of days and then daily for weeks.  After six weeks, I took some (much-needed) vacation time and drove from WV to AR to spend a week with Him.  It didn't matter that there was an 800 mile distance between us because we really wanted to meet and spend time together.  We worked it out.  Don't feel stifled into meeting someone who lives right down the street.  The world is your oyster and you may find the perfect match for you many, many miles away.  You just have to be committed to not letting the miles between you prevent your relationship from progressing.  Good luck.............luci

I meet people all the time...sometimes close by sometimes from a distance.  You just do it.  Don't be freaky in bad ways and make yourself welcoming; be differentiated and interesting and useful and exciting.

What a great post, slaveluci, and I can almost repeate it verbatim.  We met at a different site, online, and had that instant connection, also.  It was two months until we met in person, and the distance was not quite as far.

I've never been to a munch, or play party, or any community event.  And I belong to the Master of my dreams.  The world is indeed your oyster, and if you want to make it work, you can, with an open mind and an adventurous spirit.

Thank you very much, ownedgirlie.  It doesn't surprise me at all that you had a very similar experience to mine.  It is eerie to me the similarities that we share in our thinking.  Many times I don't even bother posting because you've already said exactly what I had to say.  And then sometimes I just say, "Yeah.  Exactly what she said."

I think the odds were probably against He and I finding each other but I am grateful beyond words each and every day that we were blessed enough to.  I'm sure you feel the same way............luci

Yeah, it was a total fluke that he found me.  And even on those really hard days I am just as grateful.

And you should always post, if for no other reason than because I like 'em!

You both bring a lot to the table, so to speak.

Yes, I agree.  Sometimes especially on those hard days.
