subitodolce -> Collar left a rust mark, and need a replacement (8/13/2007 8:48:08 PM)

Alas, my stainless steel collar has started to rust where the links attach, and despite repeated attempts and refusal to get the collar wet, my natural body sweat is enough to cause my collar to leave orange rings around my neck.

Needless to say, the collar had to come off. My Sir is very disappointed to see a bare neck, and I sorely miss the weight of something around my neck.

We are on a search for something in metal (preferrably a sterling silver or white gold, because I have sensitivity/allergies to some metals), and something dainty enough to pass as jewelry (work is not BDSM friendly, and I have a leadership position). A locking collar would be preferrable, at my Sir's request.

Any aide that you can provide will be appreciated. :-)

Sorry to hear that. My collars are all Stainless Steel including the hinge and screw. I have a new Tamper Resistant screw option that is Stainless as well. The lead links I include are all Stainless too.
These can be worn in vanilla situations without raising an eyebrow.

I understand your position.
My girl and I are married and have children, so a collar for her could be problematic
We went for a hybrid collar from Chaotic Creations

It's it so undiscernable from jewlery that her mother brought her a charm for her "necklace" from her last vacation

Tiffany & Co. makes some chain necklaces or bracelets in sterling silver or gold with decorative yet working gold or silver padlocks, even some with diamonds...

you can contact Ken at www.industrialkink.com  His girl wore a welded titanium rod in a collar.  He does a lot of stuff like that, and could provide you with something that could wouldn't rust...
