Here's what I googled:

http://www.enematips.com/beerorwinen.html

http://www.health-information-fitness.com/cleanse/warm_wine_enema_recipe.htm

Both sites warn to use extreme caution, and do not use hard alchohol at all.

And here's a wine (sherry) enema turned fatal (the goofs poured 2 bottles of sherry):

Fast reply: Not based off researched medical knowledge, but keep in mind the intestines are designed to absorb nutrients, so not only is it absorbed MUCH faster, but also a higher percentage is absorbed (since you have bypassed the bodies natural system in the stomach and small intestines.)  I once had a champagne enema, i took about 6-8 ounces undiluted (equivalent to 1-2 glasses) and was DRUNK.  (Of course, the bubbles also caused some vicious cramping.....)  No hangover however.  Avoid hard liquor for sure, take it slow, carefully measure the amount of alcohol you are introducing, and make sure to take some acidophilus or eat some yogurt for the next couple of days to help restore healthy intestinal flora .Good luck!

*edit - if you choose to warm the liquid, make sure that nothing over 105 degrees gets introduced, as serious internal burns can result without the person being aware of the damage until later.  A thermometer is an important tool in an enema kit.

I thought Id add something...I know alot of people are advocating the "no hard liquor" stance. Do you know why? No, has nothing to do with amount of alchohal, you could obviously just use a very small amount and get the same amount of alchohal as a few ounces of wine. Issue comes with the sugars, can cause some bacterial issues. Anything carbonated can cause severe cramping. And tempature, no ones talked about tempature; anything used as an enema should be at least body temp, cold enemas cause massive cramping also.

All of the mixes I have ever seen and used sugggested 1 cup red wine + 1 cup warm water.  You can always slide the wine amount one way or the other depending on the effect it has.  We have a mix of 1 1/2 cups of wine and a 1/2 cup of water that works well for us.  You may find you only need a 1/2 cup of wine.

I would suggest doing a cleansing enema first, if not you may expel the wine enema before it has a chance for the wine to be absorbed.

The difference between wine, hamsters and lightbulbs is that we usually ingest wine normally.  Lightbulbs and hamsters- not so much.

Wine enemas can really relax you.  However, the ratio is actually more like 10:1.  If you have a two quart bag- you pour ONE glass of wine in and fill the rest with warm water.  That's it.  Your body will absorb all the alcohol very quickly. One glass in an enema is like drinking  3.  If you are using vodka or other clear alcohol, no more than one "shot" period.  Do not use whiskey or any non-clear alcohols.  Never use Baileys or anything with a sugar/cream base.  This will truly fuck with your flora/fauna.

If you use red wine, follow it up with a Dr. Bonners Pure Peppermint Rinse.  That's  2 quarts of warm water with a tablespoon of Dr. B.  This will rinse out the tannins which shouldn't linger in your digestive tract.

Actually, I have a great recipe for grilled hamster, but the little buggers are so fiddly to skin.

Enemas have always fascinated me - never tried them, but I have fantasies....  But I'm afraid the ick factor and mess would destroy the romance of it all.

Did the hamster give consent?

I haven't ever done an alcohol enema but what I've read is that it should be no more than one third your normal consumption. Meaning if you can drink three glasses of wine in an evening, you shouldn't have more than one in an enema. Please note that if you can handle the three glasses only with a meal, that doesn't count. We're talking drinking by itself on an empty stomach here.

If I'm the hamster, I KNOW I would much rather do this drunk than sober.

Anything in the rodent family is classed as red meat by all fine diners.

The Boggy Tank winery in Upper Kumbucta West does a lovely Sheep Dip cab sav extra dry that would be the perfect choice.  $2.99 a bottle, or three bottles for $5, and don't spill it on any varnished timber.
