I'm not going to try and tell everyone that I am or ever was a Yankee fan but, Mr. Rizzuto was - aside from being a "homer" - a class act. He was knowledgable, humorous, passionate, and even-tempered.

I was a METS fan but, my older brother was a Yankees fan. Since the METS' season was usually over by October, I watched quite a bit of Yankee baseball. The man knew baseball. He'll be missed.

I'm the opposite of a yankees fan but he was fantastic baseball player, a great announcer, and a class act. It's a shame he wasn't in the hall of fame earlier.

Not a Yankee's fan by any stretch, but the world (at least the sporting world) is a slightly sadder place today.

I am a die hard Yankees fan. Born and raised in Jersey. My grandfather took me and my brother to all the home games from the time we could truly enjoy the game. There will never be another "Scooter".

I thought "the voice of the Yankees" was Mel Allen, but hey what do I know I've only been following baseball for the last 42 years.
