Does anyone know where I can download Yahoo messenger 7.5? I have 7.5 on my desktop and only get booted once a day if that. By the time I got my laptop, only the new version was available. I constantly get booted when using the new yahoo messenger on my laptop and I hate it. I've tried searching online for yahoo 7.5 and can't find it, only the new version. I want to uninstall the new yahoo messenger from my laptop and install 7.5 so I stop getting booted all the time. Does anyone have a link for the old yahoo 7.5 that actually works and won't end up being the new version when I click on it?

Why not get the new version, 8.1.   It seems to work fine for me and I am on it all the time.

I already have the new version on my laptop and it boots me all the time. My 7.5 on my desktop doesn't. That's why I want to get rid of the new one.

You can probably find the old download somewhere on your computer.  Type in yahoo into a search on your computer, be sure to check mark the advanced tab and look for hidden files and folders.

The old yahoo was never on my laptop. Only the new version.

www.oldapps.com.. I downloaded it from there about a month ago, the new version and win98 don't mix, to say the least. They also have old versions of other things..I love that site, it's in my faves...

Have you tried uninstalling and downloading it again, Ghita? You might also try an even older version depending on what operating system you're using...

Yeah, I tried deleting and re-downloading and I still got booted all the time just like before. I don't have vista but xp isn't that old. Anyway, thanks for the links everyone. And michaelofgeorgia, you're a cool guy. Can't understand why people on here are so mean.

I was having trouble with Yahoo messenger 7.0, so what I did was install Yahoo messenger 4.0 and Yahoo messenger 4.5, which then brought me up to Yahoo Messenger 8.5. Realizing I was using technology not yet invented, I then installed Yahoo toolbar 1.0, which is only about half as good as it should be, so that brought me back down to Yahoo Messenger 8.0, and aside from the cackling penguin that spins around on the desktop, it's been a great improvement so far.
