Okay. I got this in an e-mail. I did check snopes and I didn't find it to be a hoax. It might be too new to have been checked, yet.

I haven't gone into the law books and looked it all up but, I promise to get to it.

IMMIGRATION LAWS

THERE WILL BE NO SPECIAL BILINGUAL PROGRAMS IN THE SCHOOLS.

This is a minor hoax as some of it is partially true, but grossly distorted. I only checked the foreign investment and land ownership. 40,000 times Mexico city's (which is what the law is based off of) daily minimum wage (49 pesos) isn't a whole lot. At current exchange rates it is about $178,000 dollars. This isn't actually the minimum investment, but the amount required to be allowed to immigrate to the country solely through foreign investment (the U.S. has a similar law, iirc).

Foreigners can own coastal land, albeit not directly. The land has to be bought through a bank. The bank holds the title in a trust for the foreigner.
