It comes down to this... I can either own a crap restaurant that I can gut and remake in my image, or I can be with someone who makes me happy. They're mutually exclusive at this moment. This is not me asking for help in making the decision (that part is done and done) - but I'm curious as to opinions on this site...

Go for the restaurant and be successful and get rich and you can have any girl you want. Besides, anyone that offers up an ultimatum ("choose me or your dream" as it were) is in need of being replaced.

Well, the choice has already been made. And it's an internal decision, not one forced on me as an ultimatum. I'm asking what the general feeling is amongst posters: heart or wallet...

Actually, having actually looked at all the choices (since I'm at work, I wanted to copy and paste the URL without getting caught), there isn't a single attractive choice in there.. But, like you said.. YMMV lol

Having been in the restaurant business for years (and understanding how hard a business it IS), and having owned my own once or twice; I cannot imagine why you say the two are exclusionary. However, in that you HAVE said this... I'd go with my heart, leave this place you say you can gut and fix up; and look for another......with your girl. [:)] Cooking is a passion you don't have to live without. B

Interesting question.. In putting myself in your position (I am very empathic btw.. smiles), I was imediately drawn towards the girl. However, I wasn't comletely drawn to her with a feeling of a final decision.. but rather with a question. If I were to make her my final decision, will I not only be able to provide for our basic needs, but also provide enough comforts to keep us both relatively satisfied? See, if you end up having to go out and get a second job (or her for that matter) to cover expenses.. what kind of quality time are you going to have to give to her anyway? Is she a down to earth kind of girl, or a high maintenance woman who has high financial standards and thoughts towards keeping up appearances? I have a strong hunch, you've considered all of the above and are choosing the girl.. smiles.. My best wishes to you both! -pixie

But did you all vote? Eh, wot's that - you didn't?! Someone goes looking for quantifiable evidence, and all he gets are good wishes on hooking up with the girl in question... sheesh!
