This was copied from my 360 blog. I have not been able to write on my blog for the last few days. I finally got a to use a computer to be able to connect here and let people know what happened in my life on Monday August 13th 2007. We had the storm that took down the tree that I shared the photos of on my last blog addition I believe that storn was on Saturday and then on Monday we had another huge storm that had a lot of cloud to ground lightning.....well lighting stuck a huge cottonwood tree in a lot next to my house in traveled a root of the tree up some steel material on the corner of my home went through the cable tv line and started a fire in the back of my tv in my bedroom. I tried for a few minutes to put out the fire but relalized I would not be able to and knew I had to get my cats and myself out of there! When the lighting stuck I was talking to my mother and told her that lightning had stuck the house and my bedroom was on fire, I screamed for her to call 911!!! I was able to find one of my cats and took him(Jackson) out to my car, then ran back in to try and find the other three. By this time the fire had begun to spread, when the lightning hit it knocked out all the lights, I went back in to find my other three cats with a flashlight. The cats were so scared from the sound of the lightning(which sounded like a bomb!) that they went and hid, it was a fluke that I got the first one as he ran after me once I saw my room on fire. The smoke was getting worse as I re-entered and called for my cats in panic. I searched and screamed out for them as long as I could until the smoke got to be to much..... I couldn't breath anymore so I was forced to leave the house... . It seemed like it took forever for the fire dept. to get there..... when they did I was in full panic distress and screamed for them to find my other three cats and I totally lost it . About 3 minutes later a woman fireperson brought out one of my cats alive(Nikki) and went back in, I put the cat in my car and kept screaming to the firepeople going in and out to please find my other two cats, I was hysterical ........It was a while which seemed like forever when a fireperson came out with another cat, my Sasha, she was not breathing and I tried to give her mouth to nose air and chest compressions and pleaded with the woman to give her some oxygen from her mask, she did but Sasha was dead...... . It was quite a while before they found my forth cat, my Ava.....she also was ot breathing, we tried everything but she also was deceased, my baby who was soooo dependant on me...... by this time my family started to arrive, needless to say at this point I had lost it and was in shock . The firefighters were able to stop the fire at my bedroom but it was totally destoyed, but because I had had my house sut up because the air-conditioner was on the smoke damage was extensive. I lost soooo mant things, but the worst is the loss of my babies . I am now staying at my sisters with my 2 cats as my home is not habitable. I am meeting with the Red Cross tomorrow to get help with temporary housing until all this is straightened out with the insurance company. I am totally devastated and grieving. This is all I can write for now. Please keep me in your thoughts, I need all the healing energy I can get . Huggz, Missy.
