I had a dozen or more emails this morning with people asking me why I am single so for anyone who is curious..here is my response and I ask you all....why are YOU single? [:)]I am single because I took a terrible blow to my entire soul when my loving Master passed away. I am also single because many men cannot understand, that many situations out of my control, have lead me back to living with my ex husband and children. I am honest that there is nothing between me and him anymore and never will be but people find it easier to "ass"ume what is and is not. I am also single because I have four beautiful children that need me in their lives fulltime/ not part-time and one who is autistic and cannot deal with me not being close to him- I left once and it almost broke my heart into pieces, I won't do that again..I am also single because I am a submissive woman and many men believe that makes me a door mat somehow...I am single because I won't settle for less than what I deserve.

Because... <well, it should be obvious: I'm not a nice guy. That, and completely emotionally unavailable. And have been heavily invested in my career, which is it's own form of D/s play...>

I wish I could teach ya to cook- not a bad cook here..my temper..well, that is under control thanks to good ole' meds..kids, yeah i hear that..no dogs here..just a cat...i'm an excellent housekeeper- it's all about order..spendthrift..omg...someone help me learn not to spend every dollar in my pocket please[&:]

There is a saying that goes something like "one doesnt stare at the mantlepiece whilst stoking the fire" I guess I'm single because whilst the mantlepiece is very decorative, the fire cannot be stoked. E

OT: cooking classes - Cafe Paradiso in Cork occasionally offers cooking classes. I say this because it's a well-known place for WIITWD... chef's a nice guy. unlike me.

grrrrrrr...I hate that question, Why are YOU single? I always say: I have actually never been single, I have had all type of relationships, they did not work out for one reason or another and I have not met the right person YET. I also ask, why are you asking if you are single? It is such a stupid question and sometimes adversarial, even though it is usually couched in "but you seem so wonderful, why aren't you taken?"

I get that alot- you are such a nice girl, why aren't you taken? Sometimes I just feel like saying "because i can't find anyone good enough for me"....okay, enough, i didn't take my pill yet...damn, i'm running on mad energy this morn[8D]

good question. i am single cos i refuseed to settle for the dirty laundry end of things. [and not the funn] in the end- i took a better road- my ex leaving me- actually helped me get to where i am financially=-he could have been part of it- but noooo. anyhow it is easier this way- in that i owe nobody anything.

I guess I'm still single because, after running through everything in my mind, I choose to be single this time. Not that it couldn't change at any time, given the right set of circumstances.

Why I'm still single? Because of several reasons: - haven't met the right person -not the marrying kind? -haven't met anyone who's able to handle a guy like me (emotionally) - been engaged twice and failed, not ready to take that step agian - won't settle for what I deserve - either too intense or too indifferent

I'm single because i choose to be. It's been a hard path to dicovering that i really was not made to have a big relationship. I'm too selfish and like my own space too much. Most of all though i will not allow anyone to trample on my heart again!!

I am currently married and have a 'friend with benefits' as well, but did get that question a lot furing the decade-long period in which I was completely (nonconsensually) celibate. Generally made me want to slap the people asking. I still don't know the answer to the question, unless it was the truly terrible mustache.
