I am not owned but I do know what it was when I have been. If I should ever be again it will mean more than being owned, more than a collar.
 
It will be absolute.  Obedience, devotion, reverence.  Anything less would be cheating a man of all that I am, and cheating myself of the experience of the completeness of his sovereignty over me and my absolute surrender.
 
I feel it is near impossible for a girl to not love a man who owns her in such a way.  However, I find that often a man may not feel the same love, but they feel and instead express the recognition of the marvel that such a dynamic defines their relationship.

I am my owner's slave and property.  He loves me but it is not a romantic love, it is as one may love a pet. I, on the other hand, am totally in love with him

am sorry, but this is questionable as well as the original question.  Just my opinion.

a bond between a slave and a Master can be even greater than a bond between a husband and a wife.

to answer you question yes it means he holds you in high regard even higher than most. I am going to peurto rico in november, my slave will not be coming with me. b/c it is a family event. so the slave is not invited yet. she will be invited to family events when i get to know her better.

It really sounds to me that he does care for you but wants to make certain that you do not let love grow beyound his limits. To many, the emotion of "love" tends to alter the D/s dynamic in a not too pleasant way.

hello KittyKat.. *smiles*  thank you for your comments.  you're right!  kinky sex and servitude makes for a fun vacation!  and "obsessive" no, i'm not that at all.  i can and will focus on the fact that W/we're having fun!!!  the sex stuff?  OMG!  HE is wonderful sister!  and He does include my desires when W/we play.  mmmmmm He is soooo good to me!

i agree with You MasterJBK... the bond He and i have (at least for me) is much greater than a husband and wife bond.  thank You for Your thoughts.  i'll be a good girl and please Him and be thankful He asked me to join Him.

thank you CelticPrince... i know He cares for me... and this submissive is really going to put the questions to rest and enjoy my time with Him.  very interesting... "let love grow beyond his limits"  very well said.  He is ok with me loving Him... lmao.. well of course He is!  He enjoys the fact that my heart is full and my desire to be His, is without question.  i'll focus on being His... and not the questions... after all, pleasing Him IS what brings me true happiness. weeeeeeeeee!

If you want to be in a d/s relationship that includes love, hold out for an owner who is looking for that. It's a perfectly reasonable thing to do and many d/s relationship include a deep love on both sides that includes the whole flowers, vacation, take them home to meet the parents thing from both people. If you don't want that, don't worry about it.
