Every time one of these hurricanes come up, I think back to 2004 when three of them ran over our house and area in just six short weeks: Charlie, Frances, and Jeanne. All category 2 storms. Nowhere near the devastation of an Andrew, Katrina, or the approaching Dean, but there's still plenty of houses around here with the blue tarps on them along with other damage never repaired from those storms. I always hope and pray that people learn from the past and prepare themselves for what lies ahead when these storms approach. That's all any of us can do until the storm passes and the clean-up begins.
