I hate shopping and do most of it via the net. Malls make me extremely mean. What I do have to purchase, in person, sends me to the local grocery store or Walmart......tp, cat litter, cleaning supplies etc. Otherwise I have favourite companies that send catalogues to the house, I get on their website and order what I want.

Oh yeah baby!!! It has, quite literally, changed my whole outlook about Christmas.

I've done a fair amount of shopping in my time. The most fun place was Macy's in NYC (I actually got kicked out of there... was in high school at the time and was clowning around).

The worst experience was being dragged into Filene's in Boston by my then wife... who took me to the lower levels. I left there traumatized.

Otherwise, I like casual strolls with a lady down main street type shops, preferably with a light snow falling at night. I have no favorites stores... I just like the strolling and stopping experience.

OK... I do admit to having a few shops that a lot of women wouldn't think of... Brookstone, The Sharper Image, the Apple Store, and there used to be one called The World of Nature.

Lemme see, where do I shop...
Baesler's - almost all of my food and household supplies that aren't in quantity come from here.
B&B Foods - for the things I need in quantity. It's the local Nifda outlet... amazing how much of what I own comes from places like this...

We have no Target in THc, so I go to KMart for more domestic & "nice" non-pro kitchen stuff. I definitely avoid the WalMart here in town. If there was a coupon for free blowjobs with rimming for just a quarter more at WallyWorld, I'd STILL not go in there or Sam's Club...

I can often be found at Books-A-Million. In fact, that's me on the laptop drinking a 12oz drip coffee with 3 sugars and wearing the navy blue-black polo. Wave hello if you see me... My other place for books is a place called BookNation that specializes in hard-to-find used and remaindered books.

Music - there's really only one place to go in THc for music, and that's Headstone's. I take the punk kids from the mall who like Hot Topic and drag 'em in to meet Harold and show them what a REAL record store looks and smells like.

Clothes - I'm not a petite flower, if you hadn't read my profile yet. I occasionally find things that will fit me at SteinMart (18 1/2" neck), but most of the time I'm either in off-duty clothes from KMart/the army surplus store/Newport's PX (not recently, though) or I'm wearing "work clothes" from The Custom Shop in Indy or fitted whites from Chefworks (MidWest distributor's in Indy). Not much in between that I wear...

Shoes - similar to the rest of my clothes - kinda hard to find size 47 shoes... 45 yes, 50 yes - but not 47s. Lots of mail order for work shoes (Tafford's, Red Wing, Doc Marten UK), but I have occasional luck with finding good shoes at Macy's.

I do my best to spend my cash with locally owned companies in person if I can. Sometimes, I can't.

natural born shopper here ...Daddy and i spend a weekend once a month shopping for me (toys and rings for us this month ...sexy lingerie and etc for me).

Chicago's is great for shopping (i tend to avoid shopping at Macy's since they took over Marshall Field's) there's the shops on the Mag(nificent) Mile and State Street. however i love to shop at vintage stores (for that rock chick look), Target and Wal-Mart (my very best friend since i'm on a budget)

Sadly we don't have that many great shopping choices here. We just recently got Torrid, and Dillards here, and the mall that Torrid is in is so far away, I usually just go online.

For clothes, I go to Lane Bryant, Fasion Bug, or Torrid. Usually Torrid. They have awesome clothes for plus size girls my age. I buy my boots there too, since they're wider in the calves than from anywhere else. If I'm budgeting, I can go to Target or Walmart for tops.

I'm close enough to Chicago that I could make a weekend trip of it, if I had the resources to stay for the whole weekend, and spend money while I'm there.

I'm also finding it somewhat telling that you ladies seem to have different stores for just clothes... but the guys who've posted so far have only one or two choices for specific categories (for X I go here, for Y I go there...)

Interesting...

BTW - Mall of America is not very cool these days. The theme park in the middle is fun, but most of the stores are backing out in favor of Nicolett Mall in DT Mpls. Go there are pose with Mary Tyler Moore and send us the pics...
