shylittleheart -> question (7/6/2005 6:54:28 PM)

I am wondering how many others have had the same thing happen to them. Do you find sometimes those who respond to your profiles dont read them>? My profile clearly states I am a 24/7 slave involved with my Master for nearly 5 years and seeking a sister, companion and dear friend, NOT a Master. It amazes me how many assume just because we are on collarme, we want a Man. Oh my not this one, I just long for my sister. Perhaps these men are Doms, just wannabees. Sorry if that upset anyone, not what I was trying to do, just wanted to see who else has this happen>>?

Have a good nite,
shy

This is a common problem on all online dating sites. Weather its Vanilla or Bdsm. There will be no way of stopping it.

perfection20005 -> RE: question (7/6/2005 7:03:12 PM)

It happens to me all of the time. Its true that it happens on every site though. Some people either don't bother to read the profile, or else maybe they can't read! It bugs me sometimes too, and other times I just want to laugh[:D]

sub4hire -> RE: question (7/6/2005 8:29:39 PM)

As they said it happens all the time. What to do, who knows?

That is why my profile is so brief. I'm not here to pick up anyone...so why tell them all about me?

If anyone wants to learn they can ask here on the boards.
For the rest, I don't care if they know I exist or not.

stormsfate -> RE: question (7/6/2005 8:37:10 PM)

What's really funny is that sometime people get all defensive about it. Almost like if you aren't looking then you shouldn't be allowed on the site. Its almost comical really. Does anyone ever email back and say "its none of your business why I'm here" and "what was it you did not understand about 'not looking' "?

Best of luck in your search, shy! Fortunately, after a while when you aren't at the top of the newly created accounts list, the email does slow down.

best regard,
fate

Omnesub -> RE: question (7/6/2005 8:56:17 PM)

Heh maybe they should add a little quiz they have to pass before they can email you? Just something simple that would pop up like "This person is looking for A: a man B: a woman C: No one" if they get it wrong...it takes them back to your profile where they can study a little, then try again! :)

Hell0Kitty -> RE: question (7/6/2005 9:12:35 PM)

It seems like if a male sees a nice pic of a woman then there is no chance of them reading the profile. What is even worse is when all that can be said is a comment about my looks or tat. Maybe one of these days people will learn to read and have some meaningful thought that is worth responding to.

I dunno. I kinda like the ones that are just a compliment. "nice picture" or "nice tat" makes me feel good, especially when there's no come-on attached to it.

I get lots of people who don't read my profile. I've gotten to the point of not feeling to bad for being rather abrupt to people who don't--my situation is in red, w/ dates as to when I updated it. I'm not excatly subtle.

Still, if someone just says something nice, I rather enjoy it.

Hell0Kitty -> RE: question (7/6/2005 9:20:48 PM)

It is nice to begin with, but then the come ons start being attached. The latest was great. "You are so beautiful I must have you as my own. Contact me about my ownership of you." Sorry but have to rant and rave.

Why is it that so many "Doms" think that after 2 sentences that they own you or that you have to make a decision about them owning you or not talking anymore?

Nah, I totally hear ya. I thought you meant the ones that are just complimentary. I get 'em on my tattoo sometimes.

The second a comeon is attached it gets the death-glare from the partner :) Heh, I especially love the "I must own you" mails. The second sentence in my profile, in red, is, "my partner and I have recently moved into fulltime power exchange."

People are silly.

(incedentally, beautiful tattoo)

Hell0Kitty -> RE: question (7/6/2005 9:36:06 PM)

I just get to the point of once a week I go through and cut and paste the "thanks but no thanks" reply. What also gets me is if you don't reply right away you get called rude for not getting back right away. I get too many in a day to take the time to reply to them all.

and thanks. It is still being worked on and has taken me a long time to get it this far. I learned quickly the idea of bad pain while doing those 3. And of course silly me has decided that to finish it I will sit for over 2 hours of needle on back.

What was I thinking when I decided to do that

Because they are twue Domly Dom's. It's in the handbook...

****frantically paging through the Domly Dom's handbook****

Hell0Kitty -> RE: question (7/6/2005 9:49:56 PM)

How do I get my little hands on a copy of that Handbook? Maybe it will explain some of the silly questions that I have. Such as how I (reminder I do not have a dominant bone in my body) can be more dominant than some of the "Doms" that I have met and talked to.

hullman -> RE: question (7/7/2005 4:44:23 AM)

as a dom i read what some of the adds say and only then do i look at them its there mind that counts the body is an extra to view,to touch,to play with or use maybe more wannabees should wanna off this life is complex enough without idiots trying to work there way in . any sub knows that it takes time to build trust in a master for you to give your all.

hullman -> RE: question (7/7/2005 4:50:20 AM)

also as to the replies you are getting this could be why,so many subs have moved out of the area roundhere there is very few in ,yorkshire,humberside unless there well hidden as i havent found any free ones yet and owned ones ,tell me they get sick of the emails like youve been getting

littleone35 -> RE: question (7/7/2005 6:34:34 AM)

It happens to all of us shy. I know it is annoying but don't even respond to tem just put them on ignore. If they don't bother to read they are not worth you time, and if they cannot read then they are really not worth you time.

That is quite cute!!!! If only it were that easy. Because for most, they might be able to regurgitate the information, but they might have no clue what the information really means or they just ignore it and say to themselves that 'this person can't actually want that, let me show him/her what he/she really wants.'

Anyway, thanks for the chuckle this morning!

Well, not in all cases HK. i thoroughly read any profile before i send mail. Some here are more sensitive and well mannered than others. i read your profile and really it doesn't tell the reader much about the person behind the photo. i was left with no impression of who you really are or what you are looking for other than no men over 40. i understand your frustration however not knowing you leaves very little conversation openers other than how attractive the writer finds you and your tat (both very nice)

i would suggest that you might get fewer broadcast messages if you add to your profile. You'll still get some from trollers, illiterate persons, etc. but you also might really find the one you're looking for. Good luck and please take this reply as constructive criticism.

i read a journal entry here not long ago from a relatively local Domme that had complained about not wanting messages from men. Upon reading the full profile i noticed she identified herself as bisexual. i suggested via private message that she change her orientation to lesbian but she never read the mail. Anything you do that will further define who you are and what you desire will cut down on some but not all the mail.

Again, good luck to you and the OP

shyguyuk -> RE: question (7/8/2005 7:07:06 AM)

I know how you feel shylittleheart, i get a lot of e-mails which make me laugh, a few examples could be

"YOU WANT TO PLEASE ME BOY"

no i want you to stop using caps

GET ON YAHOO AND WORSHIP ME PIGGY

we all get it, just hang in there and you will get a nice message for a change ive had some really nice e-mails from doms on here of later wishing me well and it is most appricated :)

P.S doms get this kinda crap too, but usually with a nice cock picture and a contract of there soul attachetd

teapaw -> RE: question (7/9/2005 10:26:38 PM)
