I really can't wear perfume because most of the time it is a migraine trigger for me. I like to wear very light lotions from Bath and Body Works. My favorite was SeaSpray but they discontinued it a few years back :-(.

SD, I am definitely going to try that vanilla cottonball!!

I've heard cinnamon is an aphrodisiac as well. hmmm wonder if combining cinnamon and vanilla will make u uber-irresistible?

"cinnamon essential oil (Sweet and stimulating, cinnamon can increase blood flow. Cinnamon is a classic aphrodisiac spice)"

oh and ylang ylang is a favorite scent as well. i once had a perfume with that name, but haven't seen it in a while

-quick reply-

What I wear depends on my mood and the season. Currently the choices are Paris (Yves St Laurent), Salvador Dali (both versions), Anais Anais, LuLu Guiness. I love perfumes, though I don't wear them on a daily basis for some reason. Anyway...

Since its release, I've always worn CK one.......get alot of compliments still, i like it because it's not over-bearing.

GhitaAmati -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 6:00:32 AM)

I dont weat perfume, gives me major headaches....sometimes I wear body lotions that are scented, but not often. Most of the time I make my own soap, all natural and can add my fav essential oils and other things....normally a light citrus, or vanilla, or lavander, or cinnimon, or cucumber...or...ok, I change quite often...but normally whatever I use, its so light you have to get rather close to smell it at all...and I kinda like people getting that close...so its a plus....hehe..

MistressDaisy73 -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 7:40:43 AM)

I have a few I wear for different reasons.... There is this fresh, great, all "natural" scent made by Grassroots, which I found at Kohls. It is called Happily ever After and I think it is supposed to be unisex, but IMO is just slightly more feminine. I think it mixes with various body chemistries well, though, and makes it very unique on each person. It is a mix of Orange, Jasmine and spearmint, among other things. I like it for an "everyday" choice.

I find, too, that I like the classic Chanel #5, in the body spray. :)

I dont wear purfumes all the time, but I enjoy good scented body washes and scrubs. (Bath and Body of course....) I like the Spearmint and Eucalyptus body wash, and the Pumpkin spice. Ok actually, I LOVE the pumpkin spice. I hear it is a very good arouser of interest for men, too. :)  I like smelling good enough to eat. LOL.

For me, smelling other women, I dislike heavy florals, and prefer light musks and powders or LIGHT fruits. Nice smelling shampoos might make me want to get a little closer too.

JerseyKrissi72 -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 7:41:59 AM)

I just wear soft scents like lavender and sunflower from Bath and Body works...cocoa butter on my skin- I have no need for harsh/ strong perfumes..if taken care of well, the woman's body smells great[:)]with little perfume

e01n -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 8:50:42 AM)

Ah, but I was asking what you like to smell on a woman, not what you like to smell like...

Though that's pretty good too - gives me something to perve on for a moment while waiting on people at work...

favesclava -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 8:58:30 AM)

Obsession is the only one for me. since it hit the market way back when its been my only regular splurge. evryone compliments me on it , and i just feel so sexy wearing it.

MistressDaisy73 -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 8:59:04 AM)

Like you need yet another reason to perve.... not that I mind, personally. :P

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 9:11:39 AM)

I tend to go towards fruity body sprays and such. Vanilla, Mandarin and Pomegranite, Apple, things like that work best for me. Occasionally, I'll go floral for something rose or honeysuckle scented, but thats about it.

Domina4femsub -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 9:19:07 AM)

Citrus and Fruity scents are my favs.

LadyLynx -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 9:38:38 AM)

I used to love Windsong, still have a bottle of it somewhere.......Have to go with the majority of ladies about Bath and Body Works, I looooooooooooooooooooooove shopping there. OMG if I ever win the lottery, I am going to have a field day in there!  What I wear and what i like to smell on other women is more or less the same thing.  Citrusy smells, musky smells, actually as long as it isn't cloyingly sweet, I can deal with it.  If I were to go back to perfume, I would probably pick Sand and Sable.  I love the smell of Sandlewood.  as for B&BW, Warm Vanilla Sugar is my favorite, ( I am extremely picky about my vanilla!)  I would love it if they came out with a Attar of Roses scent, or Tea Rose.  I love the scents that smell like food, it's fun to spray a scent like chocolate before a date, and watch him trying to keep from drooling.

I didn't vote because I liked most of them.

after that, vanilla fields (which i can only find in the states)

oh my goodness, i love vanilla fields on a woman... only problem is it made me want to taste and it tasted nothing like it, but while i'm there LoL

personally, i absolutely love when a woman smells mildly edible; it's a major turn on

what does it say about me that my favorite scent is vanilla? i put down it's almost fetishistic

subconscious1 -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 9:55:27 AM)

Better check your bottle of windsong...fragrances do spoil over time...and OMG they stink then! ~smiles~

LaTigresse -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 11:50:10 AM)

For the most part I hate perfume, especially the cheap shit. Gives me a headache. Even walking past that bath and body place in the mall makes me grumpy and headachy. I prefer clean, healthy, woman scent. But, that is just weird me.

Otherwise, the only perfumes I have liked were custom made french perfumes that fit the woman that wore them so perfectly I loved them.

I get headaches as well from most perfumes and more so, a skin reaction. The vanilla may work for you as well. If there are essential oils you've found that don't give you migraines you could try the same thing with them.

feastie -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 3:05:06 PM)

Depends on what I'm doing that day ...

I have a body spray which I had customed mixed for me at Bath Junkie which is a combination of Creme Brulee and French Vanilla.  Since my hobby is decorating cakes, I wanted to smell like buttercream when I deliver the cake!  Customers love it.

Some days, I prefer to go with a vanilla pear body spray and others, I go with Givenche's Organza Indecence.

Which is why I wear the cinnamon/ginger/myrrh oil blend - it goes well with the food I cook, but doesn't interfere with it.

Then again, I'm a guy... ;) The poll on what you like guys to smell like is here.

vegas0623 -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 3:16:28 PM)

Liz Claiborne's Bora Bora.

I'm skin and scent sensitive to most perfumes especially the flowery scents. It's a nightmare finding perfume's that I can wear but for some reason Bora Bora works fantastically well with my body chemistry, I'm always getting compliments on it.
