NeedToUseYou -> RE: Ethics: Stock Market and After-Hours Trading (8/21/2007 6:42:16 PM)

I don't view it as wrong, the stock market in my view has certain rules attached to it that anyone trading in it should understand. One is the fact that people will constantly try to manipulate the market. It's like going around punching people is unethical, but if you sign up for a boxing match and become suprised when hit, well, I find it hard to feel sympathy. In other words it should be known by anyone that has the slightest bit of business trading, that low volume after hours trades, based on no news, or event, is to be ignored. I doubt it will work though, people catch on really fast to that kind of behaviour. You'd have to do a significant volume to solicit a reaction in most people.
