Reply to cmail? There are so many threads that rant over the amount of cmail that people get that is unwanted, rude, crude, disgusting, etc... What contents will get you to actually respond in a good way to cmail?
 
For me its intelligence, humor and humilty.

I reply to any emal I get, unless its got nothing in it TO reply to. Like, someone makes a statement and there realy is no approriate response. ASide from that, I respond to the nasty ones, the unwanted offers.. everything gets a fitting response. They may not LIKE what they hear but they will get something back.

It depends on the content.  Sad...and good...to say that I have yet to receive a crude, unwanted, disgusting email as either the first or second or even third email from someone.  Sad because the wicked part of me wonders what it would be like to get an email like this from a submissive female:

"I have just gotten through reading through your last post and your profile (again) and I have to tell you, Sir...your posts have long made me weak in the knees and when I combine the words of your post and your profile in my head with some rather wicked thoughts, I just get so wet, it runs down to my knees and I want you at that moment to just take me...take me...use me roughly;  fuck me til I can't see, make me suck you until I have no gag reflex, spank me until there is little difference between the red of my ass and the red of the stoplight, tie me into unimaginable positions...and on and on until spent and then let me lead you to bed and tuck myself in beside you."

Sad because I have a feeling that few submissives write emails like that to dominant males out of the blue, leading me to suspect that the great majority of unwanted, unsolicited, crude mail is emanating from male dominants and submissives.

Good only in that it shows that the submissives who have contacted me have been courteous, even if joking about something, right from the start.

~sighs~...but the "perv guy" inside the male dominant can still hope, can't he?  [;)]

Well there's my mood and timing.  It's rare I respond to email in the evenings or during the weekend.  I don't have the time or focus for it and I like my scheduled behavior.  So I save them for the mornings.  If morning comes and I still feel no urge to respond, I won't.

There also needs to be specifics- whether it's a compliment or question or general introduction.  I'll almost always reply to a compliment with a one liner thank you and a question with a thorough answer or request for clarification.

If it's a general introduction, it needs to be original, fun, light, AND compatible.  If there's any sniff of incompatibility for me, I just won't answer.  I'm not under the delusion that someone emailing me obligates a response.

I attempt to respond to all mail here.  However it more than likely is only a one liner they get back.
Most cannot read my profile.  So I spell it out again for them.

It is the second and third times the same person e-mails me saying the same thing because they cannot remember they have already tried to hit on me, when I stop responding.

like this morning's missive:   "dont pro-create".  that was the total message.   my response was umm....too late!  but i didnt bother sending it cause i knew the "Dominant" in question wouldnt appreciate my wry sense of hooomor.

I pretty much respond to all collarme e-mails. There has been the rare occasion that i didn't because of the sender being rude or abusive.

I think I've pretty much replied to it all.  I can't even recall getting a scammer yet.  Haven't gotten any "omg MY PUSSY IS WET!?!!!!!!" yet, either.

I do believe I project an aura which wards off individuals of.. certain dispositions.

I reply to all of my mails respectfully, if at times a bit curtly, unless there was blatant disrespect in the original mail.  I try to keep an open mind when writing my mail.  As for the people that I actually end up corresponding with, I look for intelligence, kindness, a sense of honor, and a good wit.  That's a hefty load to juggle, but I've met several who do it quite well.

We've replied to 100%.

beth usually handles all the requests for information and/or advise. she's got quite a large group of people she chats with regularly.

Personally I enjoy responding to wankers and scammers. For instance...

We're still waiting for the guy to show up who requested beth castrate him. I told him where/how to meet us but he never showed.
We're still waiting for the guy who we agreed to his request to be our personal toilet and live in a cage under our stairs.
You would not believe how many men have lost their spouses or significant others to accidents and sudden death who initially contacted us wanting to get together as a couple, but due to her death she can't be there.

And I'm expecting any day to receive account information I required from their Nigerian Bank so I can "test" the process by withdrawing $1 from them before they get my information so they can send me $50 my Million. In fact that information is overdue. As soon as I receive it, I'm planning to use the money to sponsor an international convention of CM members so stay tuned for that date/location. I'm sure I can rely on the integrity of this Nigerian family of a defrocked finance minister. If that doesn't work, I use the money that Ed McMahon says he's bringing by as soon as I send back my "you already may be a winner" certificate.

I'll reply to anything that is personalized, by that I mean something that is obviously directed to me and isn't a carbon copy that could have been sent to any female.

I've even responded back to the young lady who wrote a disgusting remark and immediately blocked me hoping to not get a response. I am sometimes influenced to go to great lengths to reply.  [:D]
