In Charleston, walk into the alley off South Battery St, down the cobblestones, in the black wrought iron gate, up the well worn steps and knock twice on the heavy oaken door. Tell them you know ExSteel and you will be let in. If you see my beautiful flower growing in the courtyard, bend its stem, but don’t break it.

And there you have it ................................ it is so underground as to be non-existant to even those who "think" they are enlightened  :-)
.................................. but if you are taken in and know where to look .......................................

Yeah, maybe so. I'm kind of just saying hey to those who live in Charleston. Tis a jazzi place in my mind and definitely not nonexistent. Hey, I live in Augusta now and it ain't half bad either. Atlanta, of course speaks for itself. I really don't see the scene being diminished in any of these places.

I think it is there, just very private. As was previously stated, the mayor even had the local adult store closed down. As a former member of the local munch group, who left due to its pathetic attendance and membership, then re-joined, but never attended any events for the same reason; I think you need to go to a larger metro area if you want the kind of action you will see in Atlanta for example.

Oh, I don't know about being so thrilled to live in Augusta.  Which completely explains My prior comment about driving to Atlanta.

ExSteelAgain -> RE: Dungeon in SC/GA area (8/25/2007 2:50:45 PM)

Dang, Lady Pact, now I have to defend Augusta. LOL. Well, we can all agree Atlanta is not far way if you want clubs.

LadyPact -> RE: Dungeon in SC/GA area (8/25/2007 3:03:44 PM)

ExSteel, well, depending on where you go, it can be alright.

Did you know there's actually an event in this town tonight?

paddlesmacks -> RE: Dungeon in SC/GA area (8/25/2007 3:50:04 PM)

Absolutely, we would love to attend a local dungeon closer to Savannah, as compared to needing to stay overnight in Atlanta!

I would say it is. I've heard all the rumors about all the "private groups" who are so private that we only know they exist, but dont know who they are.

Ooooooooo =)

From my understanding, back before all the drama, Charleston had quite a large scene. I doubt all the people who disapeared from T3 have been twiddling their thumbs.

But, for whatever reason, fate has not allowed me to cross paths with any of these people.

Most of my friends are in Columbia with the group up there and I enjoy my time with them when I get a chance to go up there and play and have fun.

WickedDungeon -> RE: Dungeon in SC/GA area (8/29/2007 6:40:42 PM)

Thank you all for your responses!!! At this point, we are doing research to see if this will be a possibility.  It would definitely NOT be in the city limits of Charleston, I am striving for a more central location so all in the "Lowcountry" area can have a comfortable driving distance.  I am familiar with several of the groups, and one thing we don't want is "political drama". This won't be group based, but of course, all will be welcome to come no matter what group or kink they belong to. We need a place to the "convservatives" can let loose! I will keep y'all posted... and if anyone has questions, feel free to email me.

Actually, it seemed like a number of people moved out of the area or broke up in a fairly short period of time... i've gotten the impression that Mata is still around, tho, and She was very active in organizing some of the larger events that happened in the area.

Well, if you continue to move forward, i can point you at a former nightclub with ample parking that's been on the market for more than a year, and is a very convenient drive for me [:D]

ocilla -> RE: Dungeon in SC/GA area (8/30/2007 6:14:17 PM)

Well we love having yall come over to Atlanta.  You're always always welcome.  Do understand the big city aversion but the BDSM community is pretty sweet here.

we are thrilled to be having Lady Pact of Augusta hosting MsNaughty Nights at 1763 this month.  Her theme is interegation!  I hope you all come and support her as members of the community that do not live here but come here to play.  Might be a great opportunity to plan a new dungeon too!

michaelOfGeorgia -> RE: Dungeon in SC/GA area (8/30/2007 6:17:07 PM)

wish I had a way to visit Atlanta

Oh, i've enjoyed the few events we've managed to get to in Atlanta, but the 10-hour round trip from Charleston (damn SC highway patrol [:'(]) really crushes a weekend!

Wyrd -> RE: Dungeon in SC/GA area (8/31/2007 7:08:52 AM)

Make sure to research the state laws and the county and town ordinances, they can be a sticky point for a dungeon, I have done the research for opening one here in Columbia, though that will likely be next year or so before it can be accomplished.

There is a dungeon in Myrtle Beach, small, but can at times fit the needs of some, each dungeon has it's own atmosphere, Cell Block in Fayetteville is totally different than La Fortress or Myrtle Beach Iron Cross, and all of them different than 1763.

There have been a couple of new groups formed in Columbia.

eyesopened -> RE: Dungeon in SC/GA area (8/31/2007 9:56:06 AM)

The Leather Plantation in Charleston closed down years ago due to being outed.  One thing i have found about the area is that people just hate to drive anywhere... but those who do would probably support a local dungeon.  i have not been terribly excited about the munch groups in the area, seem to cater more to established couples than to singles.  The dungeon in Myrtle Beach for example charges per couple with no allowances for singles.  i've been to 1763 in Atlanta and it would be wonderful if such a place were closer.

Hey everyone,
if there were a dungeon with a driving distace 45-60 minutes between Savannah, Hilton Head & Charleston, is there anyone out there who would attend?

I would attend..and would love to help design/build it.
M.

goodgirl08 -> RE: Dungeon in SC/GA area (1/6/2008 3:55:44 PM)

Wow, I did not know so many regular posters on here are from the area. If I still lived there I would knock on the secret door in the alleyway [:)]
