I do know that if I add up how much I've spent on toys over the years (admittedly - I have far more than anyone could justifiably need)....books....lectures....munches...clubs...convention weekends....etc. over the last 10+ years - well, it's a lot.  So for me, going out and hiring someone to play with for a couple hours just isn't going to happen.  That's probably more to do with what I've personally invested rather than what I've financially invested, combined with my experience and my knowledge of just how easy it is to find play ~ if that were all I wanted.

See, i think that's the rub, even more than the supply and demand that always comes to mind first (although there's a chicken/egg debate in that)... There are phenominal number of male subs free for the taking when it comes to play, soitanly... but from everything i've ever heard from Dommes, the majority are perceived as entirely unsuitable even for NSA scening because they're
ill-mannered/fat/hairy/smelly/poorly dressed/prattles incessantly about old cars
unreliable
passive-aggressive, emotionally damaged, generally dysfunctional, prattles incessantly about old cars
lack the experience and self-awareness to have a realistic idea of their own desires and limits
are coming into the scene with a "laundry list of fetishes they want fulfilled" and/or a desire to "submit to a Mistress" as long as submitting means that She does X, Y, and Z to him
etc. etc. etc. i assume you've heard/experienced the same.

So, logically, if someone could provide a reasonable assurance of being receptive and reactive to a variety of forms of play, knew how much he could take, could convincingly be coy, or rebellious, or scared, or adoring as desired, and was providing a service so there was no "hidden agenda" to deal with, and was healthy, clean, physically attractive, and available on short notice... It seems like there should be some value in that. 'Ceptin, o'course, there ain't, 'cuz love ain't fair [8D]

Incidentally, not all colleges cost $40,000/year....if you're smart and make good choices, you can make that figure cover the cost of the full degree.

Aww, it's cheating if you're gonna go bargain-hunt... i got a full scholarship, so i lose my own argument [&o]

DommeWhoNeedsHelp: How many smartass comments from a sub should I tolerate before I smack him?
Sea:  LOL! As many as it takes!

The thought of a smack from your hand has given me a case of writer's block. I keep coming back to this thread to post a smart ass comment but come up empty. Perhaps six months from now, you will find an email from me in your inbox with finally a smart ass response. Please don't worry; I will first seek permission to email you in that email ;-)

Cheers,

Sea

Most professional male subs generally cater to the Secret Homosexual Male Dom society because the Secret Homosexual Male Dom generally doen't want his wife or the press to find out what his deepest perversions are.

Of course it's a two way street.

While I do know of a few subs who are available for a fee to take any corporal punishment a Dom/ OR Domme desires, they are lusually ooking for a paying male Master, rarely a FemDomme.

Can we let this tired old 2006 thread die now?

Sea's Domme Services has just expanded its scope of products and services. We now also provide a headhunter service. Under this service, a domme contacts us and defines criteria for a sub. Sea's Domme Services browses hundreds of profiles and presents potential candidates to the domme for approval. It then provides further screening by contacting the candidate on behalf of the domme.

We recommend only exceptional candidates and here are samples of what results we recently delivered for dommes who had the most stringent criteria:

Candidate One
Candidate Two
Candidate Three
Candidate Four
Candidate Five

Cheers,

Sea

I think it could work, but I think you'd need a fairly large city.

Are you a hottie? I think it would be critical.

To write off BDSM gear, set up an online review service. Charge a fee for reviews.

I have a brilliant idea!

Sea's Lawn Watering Service for Dommes!

I will water a lawn for dommes.....using a helicopter! Yes, a helicopter! And I'll fly the helicopter wearing a thong! Now granted this service will be more expensive than conventional lawn watering methods. But how cool is that? Can you imagine yourself playing bridge with other dommes?

So what did you do yesterday?
Oh not much. Had my lawn watered. By a helicopter. It flew in all the way from Austin.
A helicopter?! And from Austin?!
Yup.
No way!

I mean you'd be like Marilyn Manson or something! People would be whispering about you at munches.

What, that's her?
Yup.
She has her lawn watered by a helicopter?
Yup.
Dude, who does she think she is, Marilyn Manson?
Yup. I bet she won't even go to the munch after party tonight. She'll say she's not feeling well or something.
Totally. Hey, will you take my picture with her?

One thing I ask is that you kindly lay out a St Andrews cross flat in your back yard. You know, X marks the spot type of deal. It's very costly for me when I water your neighbor's yard by mistake.

Cheers,

Sea

TexasMaam -> RE: Pro Subs? (9/3/2007 9:17:37 PM)

you can water My lawn any day, sea!

I'll lay the cross out in back of the house....

Ok, I must be really out of it this morning.  Where's the 2006 part?

Btw, sea...... Funny, very funny.

Ok, I have a business idea for you WestWanderer

If there's one thing new Dommes dread, it is making a complete fool of themselves in public when they enter the BDSM scene.

They don't know the local protocol, they don't know who is who in the zoo and most of all, they don't know how to play in public without looking like a doofus.  We Dommes can read about BDSM on the net all we like but until someone lets you practice on him in real life and tells you how it feels, a Domme ispretty useless.  All theory, no experience.

BUT ....we Dommes are usually too proud to admit when we are clueless newbies and need a crash test dummy to practice on.....

I have known Dommes who paid for lessons in flogging, bondage, scene etiquette etc.  These women thought it was money well spent (in the privacy of their own homes).

So if you are a sub who is well connected, discreet and exceptionally talented, someone might pay for lessons.

I had a sub once (a medical practitioner) who used to teach the apprentice pro-dommes at the local dungeons how to do breathplay.  Thats something you really need to be shown.  He also taught them a bunch of other medical tricks to use on paying clients.

Would an amatuer/"lifestyle" Domme also be prepared to pay for one on one, no-strings-attached BDSM education?  I think so.
