Simple really, for me, the old guard is dead....anyone over 70- or 80.  I am the old guard.  You being 10 years younger are the new old guard, when I cakk you will be the old guard, and when you are the old guard the people younger than you will be the new old guard.  The older ones are geezers and the 18 year olds are flaky punks.

Nevertheless, everyone is still fucking and sucking, getting tied up and beat, sucking cocks and eating shit, taking pictures of tubgirls and getting their cocks sawed off and whatnot throughout this changing of the guards.

So, peroratively, what it boils down to is, older than you is the old guard, younger than you is the new old guard, and you are just a guard.

Then you wouldn't have shuddered; Alumbrado, so what would be the sense in that?

Hi everyone,

I am hoping you can help me with a question that has been put to me.  What is "Old Guard" and what is the "new Old Guard".

Hi slaveholongs,
Its my belief that the difference betweens "Old Guard" amd "New Guard" are quite a few. One example would be the "Old Guard" was more into strict protocol and a Military overtones. Women we not overly accepted as Dominants or a member of the "Old Guard"  regardless of being a Top or bottom. The "Old Guard" is said to have been started by a bunch of gay military men who had just returned from WWII. Feeling alienated after returning from the war and lonely they seeked out each others company. Another example would be Switches. The "Old Guard" viewed switches as players and were not looked at as serious BDSM players as the "Old Guard" viewed them as someone who just couldn't make up their minds.
The "New Guard" in my opinion is basically what I view as Leather is today, with a much more relaxed stance on protocol with mostly non existing military backdrops. The "New Guard" being much more accepting of individuality and uniqueness. A New clubs that embraces diversity but lacks disciplined structures.
Hope that helped. Take care.
Darby.

This is a link to an essay by Guy Baldwin that MisPandora posted on another "Old Guard" thread a while back.
Well worth the read.

New Old Guard? Never heard of it.
