Hello Everyone: I'm seeking some insight into the Masterful Mind. I almost always give a polite no-thank-You response to Masters who don't fit what I'm looking for - usually it's because of location and/or accessibility. But there are some men who keep cmailing me even after I've said no thanks. These emails aren't the generic mass email kind of message, either. They are tailored to things in my profile or forum posts. I know the quick and obvious answer. At best, these guys just aren't paying attention. At worst, they are ignoring my no and ... hoping I won't notice? hoping I won't care? (Scary.) Either way, I just don't get it. [sm=confused.gif] ~ pmg

Isn't there usually an 'ignore this person option' on the mail thing? Or you could just delete the mails from the repeat offenders you recognize.

You can block the mail.................then they can't contact you again.

Well for one, I applaud you for replying to everyone. Very few actually do. And no I don't blame anyone, getting pages and pages of mail can be time consuming to reply to all I'm sure. Why do they do what they do and continue to message you? Who knows? Mostlikely they are not good Doms and you should block them as others have said. They either ignore your message or hope to change your mind. Any real Dom/person/man would take the hint at no thanks and not continue to message you. Some might just message so many profiles that they don't remember ever messaging you before or your no thanks. Even then, that is someone who you'd want to block. Typically for myself, If I'm given a no thanks, I would reply back at most "thanks and good luck". I'd only reply back with more usually if there is more to her message, and even then it's friendly in nature with knowledge that nothing would happen, just a friendly conversation sort of e-mail. But that doesn't happen often. Mostlikely all the guys and 'Doms' who do that to you should be blocked as they are stepping up and not taking no for an answer. So give them no choice and let them go bother another woman.(which, sadly is just what will happen unfortunelly, and mostlikely)

Best thing to do with those who ignore your polite refusal is to block their messages. It's easy, quick and simple. The ones who have ignored your reply are jusyt plain rude people!

They will do anything they can to get your attention. If they've gotten you to respond once, they are hoping to keep you on the line. It's up to you whether you want to stay on the line.

Before you block them, delete a message or two unread. That definitely sends a message...and it's kinda satisfying. Bob

They are hoping to establish an acquaintance, then a friendship and hope that with more knowledge of them you might be persuaded to enter into a relationship. If you think any of them might be worth be acquainted with, keep talking. If you think they might become friends, ditto. The important thing here is to refuse to talk sexually, or intimitely. Or, just block them. But dominant men by definition tend to push. It's up to you to yield or not as you prefer.

I respond to every e-mail I get as well, but if the same person keeps emailing after I've said thanks but no thanks, then I just delete it. They figure if you keep talking to them then they have an in, and you might change you mind and be interested after all. I clearly state in my profile that anyone out of Canada is not even a possiblity, but i still get alot of messages saying " I'm from (input state or foreign country here) but i think we'd really get along well give me a shot." Again I say thanks but no thanks. For politeness sake, answer the first contact unless totally offensive, after that I don't feel you need to respond. IMO anyway.

Some people have this silly perception that even though you say no, you really mean yes. So they keep pushing, and keep trying. Others might think, well you said no to this, but you might still be open to another type or level of relationship. So, that might have something to do to how you've communicated your lack of interest, and you may need to further clarify that you aren't interested them on any level if that is the case. Most are just stubborn, overeager and/or horny bastards. My block button is weathered and squeeky, but it still serves me well!

I get that alot from people. Subs who miss the "I am not looking" part of my profile, Doms who either want me to sub for them since I am not seeking a slave of my own or who assume since im not lookin gfor a slave, they can just play sub for me... I also respond to every INITIAL message I get. If I say no t someone, and they insist on replying and trying to argue their case, they no longer deserve my courtesy. After one or two back and forths where they are not getting the picture, I will tell them in the las tmessage I plan on sending that I have already told them we ar not a match and arguing will not change that. I inform them its the final email they will be recieving and if they continue trying to push things, they will be blocked. I consider that fair warning. If they dont believe me, I block them. Easy :) DV

Do respond to say "Thank you, but I'm not interested". That's polite. People that can't even be bothered with that is a major peeve of ours. If they come back again, and are at least nice about it, maybe one more firm "no thanks" is warranted. After all, sometimes at second glance you might learn something that tips the scales to someone that is worth chatting to. That happened to us - no connection on first glance, but six months later she contacted me forgetting we had talked and it all came together like magic. If they persist, just block 'em. Above all, PLEASE don't ignore that first email. It is soooooo incredibly rude.

It's not just masters. I get male subs that do the same thing. I've never had a woman do it though. Maybe it's a guy thing?
