Looking back on Bushs' history of hiring, remember FEMA?, He picks people that are more politically attuned to his way of thinking and not so much qualified for the job.  Gonzalez was just one more example of this.

Since he cannot remember anything, has an limited understanding of legal concepts, and is completely lacking in even the most basic requirements of his job, I am left to wonder if they will pay a cab driver $20 to help him get home.

Seems a shame to add him to the ranks of the mentally ill and intellectually handicapped homeless people wandering the streets after the Reagan years.

They'll probably make him a judge.

I hear the Red Skull is going to be nominated for the job of AG...

HAR!!!

Just for a second.....lets forget about the character dilemma that surrounds a ghoul of this caliber.

Instead... I wonder why Bush would pick such an ugly and physically grotesque bastard for such a high profile position. Seriously....Chertoff has got to be the most ugly fucker to ever hold a cabinet level position in ANY administration.

Once again, Bush has found that playing a race card didn't work. I bet he didn't think anyone would dare question his puppet appointee hoping his race woud be a sheild and the cry of bigotry would drown out the glaring actuality of the situation.  Maybe Alberto finally saw how he was being used.

Like I have said before... the race card has expired- we now judge by the content of a person's character. Now if BUSH would get a clue.

Bush played a "race card?"

This is something I've noticed about him.Since his ultra conservatism isn't all that palatable, he seems to surround himself with female nominees and racial "minorities".

It works like this:   If the democrats are against his choices, then they can be labeled as "bigots" (much like when the democrats didn't want to approve the blank check for the war for the Bush and this was labeled "not supporting the troops").  I laugh when Bush said Alberto's good name was  "drug through the mud" for "political reasons".  Uh.. wasn't he chosen for political reasons?  I quote Tickva (from MAD TV here)  "Oh COMMON!!!!!"

The only reason I see while Condi is still with him is that she was wise enough to distance herself from him while still doing her job.  Have you seen her in the news lately?

Bush uses people.   Whatever gets his job done; be it white guilt or liberal PCness.  The good thing is, it doesn't work anymore.  I respect those who have the fortitude to withdraw from this idiot's (Bushit) agenda.  It will bode well for them in the long run.  (except for Rowe andScooter) LOL

When will the big heads roll?

When Bush finally gets somebody willing to be the fall guy, so he can remove everybody from office and have them all pardoned.

This would be similar to Nixon.  Ford was blameless in the Watergate scandal, and Nixon could wander back to San Clemente and hunt for shells on his ranch without fear of indictment.

But in the current administration, with Pelosi third in line.  Shrub and Shotgun are arguing over which of them are going to be the patsy.  Shrub is ultimately responsible, and as long as Shotgun can keep him in the Justice Department's cross hairs, he can theoretically play the "Just following orders" card.

I am still wondering what Rumsfeld is up to.  Sitting at home and waiting for his subpeona?
