When I first met my madame in a non-public setting, the first thing she made me do was shave off my beard in front of her.

It was sexy because I had to decide if the person I had talked on the phone with and met publically only once was truely worth swallowing my pride and changing a superficial part of myself for.

Later, I came to understand it as something else: she honestly thinks I'm more presentable without the beard. She's big on self improvment and guidance. It was an act of trust to show her I took her as seriously as I said I did. It was a show of devotion which I didnt realize was our first power-exchange untill after the fact.

She had warned me this would come if she liked me when she met me, and had seen pics of me without most of the facial hair as well as with.

i just had 6 inches cut this weekend. Master didn't force me into it, but i did get input on how much to cut from Him. i am very happy with the way it came out.

not exactly... i have plenty of that, though i might not turn down any that showed up. What I would like to learn is if there are people within the d/s world with similar, or overlapping, interests.

For example, I generally don't "get" the pleasures of bondage, yet the idea of bondage as an enabler of this kind of scene is fascinating. That whole power exchange thing. I figured that this would be a good set of boards to poke around. Maybe find a kindred soul or two that will engage in some ongoing correspondance.

Perhaps i was hasty, posting twice instead of waiting for a response to the first. I am sorry. I get emotionally wound when i think i have found another source of insight on this fetish, which i have wrestled with for 30 years.

It's interesting, I just had a phone call from a boy who was seeking exactly that. I first told him that I am not much of a hairstylist, so if one didn't care how the cut came out, just that it was forced, then fine. When he told me he sought a crewcut, I was all in, since I'm a deft hand with a set of clippers.

My ex did the opposite--wouldn't let me cut my hair for a year. When we broke up, I cut 8 inches off, and it looked SO much better--he agreed--thought I should have done it earlier.

Of all the hard limits I could have I think forced haircuts would be at the top of my list. Plus most of the dom men that I've been with haven't had that great of a fashion sense, and looks are way too important.

Actually, now that you guys have mentioned it, I don't 'forbid' my boy from cutting his hair, but he knows he'd see a very un-Dommely pout for weeks if he didn't have shoulder-length curls. He's famous for his pretty hair, and I love it.

when i get very badly stressed, i sleepwalk. and the last major sleepwalking episode, i cut my hair. it was nearly to mid-back, and it was 2mm long by the time it was evened up. my LordFallcon, my husband, and i all cried over it....

that was early spring last year, its just now long enough to be put up in a ponytail again. my hair grows very slowly, so this was VERY stressful to me.

Sir very much prefers me with longer hair, and part of his wishes is that i not cut it (other than small trims) ever again.

I am sorry to hear about your experience. One of the things that is a real struggle for me in this is that while this fetish is all about the power exchange, my limits include not actually hurting anybody, physically or psychologically. I guess the crux of it for me (and the reason I have come to talk to all you nice folks), is how to balance the power exchange with the need for a happy ending. In my fantasies, no matter how unwanted the haircut is, it does not result in unhappiness. Any thoughts?

for me, the cutting of my hair was more of a self-mutilation. i struggle with self-injury issues as it is, and this....well, it was a clearly visible sign of my mental distress.

in your fantasy, yes, i can see where the coercion that ends with the submissive's hair being cut, yes that would be a very large power exchange. the sub would have to be willing to turn total control of him/herself over to the dominant and be satisfied by pleasing him/her.

no matter how small a trim i get now, i still have that "oh no, my hair!" feeling for several days afterwards.

That's the thing: that feeling of dread for days before, and of loss after. I have this need to amplify and explore those feelings. But you can only do it once every few years, as hair grows slowly. So I turn to fantasy.
