the electoral college gives lots of people the illusion that their vote matters. In reality, it doesn't really matter all that much. A bigger state will have more votes than yours, and the decision might go one way even if the majority of the country wanted it the other way.

The de-evolution of the entire goverment system needs to be dealt with.. time to wipe the slate clean and get rid of "professional" politicians... our Founding Fathers never intended for the country to be run by "professionals", but rather "by the people for the people". I will add getting rid of the electoral college to My presidential platform...

Couldn't agree more! Just seeing that the electorial vote is what got Bush Jr in should be reason enough for that change to take place! As if common sense isn't enough of a reason - the pres should be elected 'by the people' .. not 'by the states'.

you can't wipe the slate, there is a good foundation and principle. America is not ready for a revolution I believe we can still fix this
