Perplex -> Brain vrs. history...or the Nature vrs. Nurture debate (8/27/2007 8:56:06 PM)

I have recently learned that "foot fetishism" comes from a difference in the brain. It seems the sexual response center and the foot center sit right next to each other, and when synapes overlap people have foot fetishes to a greater or lesser degree.
I am a die hard freudian (shadup this is my quarter I can stand on my soapbox anyway I wanna :) not cuz I think the old vienetian was without flaw, but because people are mammals and mammals only wanna eat and reproduce, possibly with some defacation in there somewhere and depending on the species can happen during with both.
It brings me to the thought, what are the possiblities that most non-traditional sexuality is based upon the brain and not on the personal history of someone. I was wondering what people with more expierence and hands on "cuff time" think.
Do people like "kinky" (oh that word, but for the purposes of htis conversation lets use it I guess, so define it as non-traditional (meaning 30 years ago mary tyler moore wouldn't do it)) (today..who knows *grin*) cuz of when they discovered thier sexuality (latently or blatently) or is a biological function of how thier brain/body works?
