I have heard there is a Master who has trained DID subs. If that Master reads this post I would like to correspond with you, if you will.

Ok, this has been here a coupla days with no takers so I'll confess to being an ignorant, back-woods, down-under Dom and ask what I obviously don't know.....

What is a DID sub? A disorder perhaps?

You made my morning. I laughed my ass off when i read your thread. Thank you.
It is a not really rare but a never discussed disorder. It used to be called multiple personality disorder. They made a movie about it years ago called "Sybil" with Sally Fields in it. DID means dissociative identity disorder. My sub has different, distinct personalities in her mind. She will look different, have different vision, expressions, mannerisms. health items. It is truly amazing. She has been diagnoised by both psychology and medical doctors. Her child hood school records also reflect tha same patterns.DID is very similar in nature to Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. DID can start only in childhood usually from sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. The child is overwhelmed by what is happening and literally splits off a new part or person in their minds to protect and absorb the trauma for the core person. The reason I believe the disorder is not discussed is due to the fact in most instances the abuse was done by parents, family members, and those close. Often the abuse is sexual in nature. Our society is not ready to face the fact that perhaps over 50% of dads are using their kids sexually in some manner. The numbers are lower for males. A few books I suggest to read are "First Person Plural", " The many minds of Billy Milligan", "Sybil", "When the rabbit Howls".
A few folk's on this site have made it clear they think DID is a hoax or an excuse. I have lived with a person with this for 8 years giving it a name DID for 2 years. In addition having a similar childhood myself, realizing I also have many of the same characteristics as my sub, I sought professonial help and have the same disorder.
The reason for my post is my sub told me she messaged with a Dom who said he had trained several subs with DID. She does not remember the Doms name and I would like to communicate with him if he is willing about subs and DID.
Thats it in a nut shell. Not knowing what this is is the usual Force 50. I am sure you are a very bright man. Thank again for answering the thread.

Since when has posting a oposing opinion counted for shit on here?

Dissassociative state. This ill buy, seen it, and you can actually see the point of splitting from reality. (working in acute psychiatry for 22 yrs) But its a temporary condition, part of a bigger picture that for me anyhow, is not DID, well you do realise that its a pyschiatric phenomena that is not recognised in other countries besides america? And lets face it, america's psychiatric services are not looked up to in other countries an awful lot.

Yes pandoravampire I am aware of the both European denying its existence and the American controversy. I would have been skeptical had I not lived with someone afflicted with DID. I know it is not classified as a mental illness ie: like BPD. I agree that the American medical profession is like our society very backwards and immature. We are a handicapped nation in my opinion. We simply have great resources and a great european influx during our growth.

Unfortunately, I'm little help in regards to giving you the name of the Dominant.

However, your post brings a different thought to mind...

I am a Switch who has two distinctly different personalities... to me they appear as though I have DID (I've done much research on the subject due to my own childhood but have never been disagnosed with PTSD and DID...)

Would some perspective from someone with two recognizeable and distinct personalities help? I am currently in the process of training, which is interesting. Still, with me, it may be easier since I can put the two personalities in a Dom and sub category and work with T/them accordingly.

Or maybe I'm just crazy.

Just an observation but you and zaynab both seem to have made all of your posts either about DID support or defending DID being an actual disorder. Is it that critical to inform everyone you meet online that you have this disorder? Maybe its just me but it seems like more of a cry for attention than anything else.

Personally, I don't buy into the culture of victimhood where everyone is afflicted with some disorder or another. Sure there are many instances where this is the case but in N. America this is carried to ridiculous extremes.

DragonzayMaster, if your sub has DID you're really in for it, trust me. If you would like a better understanding of the disorder you really need to check out this link:

http://p199.ezboard.com/bcopingwithdissociativeidentitydisorder

That's the group I frequent. It isn't an illness. And she's not crazy. What it is is basically a natural childhood defense mechanism that stuck with her throughout her adult life. The ezboard group is a great place for multiples and their significant others to communicate with a group of understanding people.

I have DID. It exists to various degrees like any other problem. If you've been with her long then you probably know most of this already. The cardinal rule in a DID relationship...never forget to take care of yourself. Take that advice to heart DragonzayMaster, it comes from mine.

My best wishes, and do keep in touch. If you have any questions don't hesitate to message me.

Gideon

Gideon147. Thank you for the link and the offer. I will look at the link and will message you as well. That is very helpful.

Tomentius. Are you kiddin. Look at your own picture. A real original indeed. Some people like to spread their knowledge base learn and expand. read some other posts of some more enlightened people on this site. Also I do not feel the USA is victimized. We are handicapped by a cultural immaturity. You I would assume are like most Americans and watch a fair share of TV. Need I say more.

Hi Tormentius,
just wanted to say that i make posts about many different things, not just DID... and to answer your question, yes, i do think it's critical to inform everyone i meet online that i have this disorder...

there are many reasons why i do this... i was hoping that other multiples would read it and message me which is exactly what did happen, so people who get to know me won't find out later and think i was hiding something from them while building a friendship first, so everyone will know that im not "a stupe" when they read my posts and emails and will know why i seem to be that way only at times, and also because it's an interesting topic.

at times i do feel like crying for help, but my Dom, family, friends and therapist is who i turn to for that...

a way to get attention? (someone said that to me awhile ago).... nah, not my style...
i've been a hermit in my real life the past 10 years because getting attention is exactly what i DON'T want....

just want to make a few friends on here and have some fun.

my Dom and i are both proactive people and love sharing information and learning about things, which is why we are so vocal on the message boards....

hope this sheds some light on our intentions.... and by the way, i love your name! ~ zay

hi Lady, im just curious... have you ever had either of your different personalities out and doing things that you later have no rememberance of at all? (without the use of drinking or drunks, if you do those things) ~ zay

Lol.

Well, I don't really have DID, although it sometimes looks like I do. I worked a little bit in the bondage modeling industry, and I cracked up this one guy by how quickly I switch personalities in and out of "sub space". I have completely different mannerisms, and the difference is very notable in my reactions to pain in and out... in, I'm very expressive, I never talk, and I whimper a lot- out, I grimace, but I talk a lot " Ugh, the hurts... bleh" and tend to be loud... and I laugh.

I never really worry about the difference between saying "no" when it really means no, and saying it when it doesn't because the word itself doesn't matter, just which personality I'm in. A "no" that means "go on" is accompanied by fearful glances, whimpering, and pathetic actions. A real "no" is accompanied by a forceful voice, direct eye contact, and forceful body language.

But in some ways my sub personality really is a seperate identity. But not really

Hello Dragonzaymaster,

I did a quick search about this, because I too recall reading a thread about this a couple of months back.

I sent you an email regarding what I found. I hope you find the person you are seeking.
