Hrm... this is really not a good way of asking it... but what it seems that you're asking is how (the respondent) went from fantasy to reality.
In my case, I'm not entirely sure... I've pretty much "always" been kinky. It wasn't until I had a partner express that she had similar "likes" that I began to actually learn BDSM as BDSM as opposed to just "eh, it's what people do." At that point, I'd say that I had my first BDSM "reality" - but even then, all of the elements and ingredients were present long before I even had sex... In some ways, before I was even born.
