To go with the perfume thread, I thought I'd ask about soaps. I really like rose-oatmeal ones, great scent and exfoliation in one. Unfortunately I rarely find any. But I haunt the local craft fairs hoping to find a new supplier.

But rose scented soaps are a must for me.

I feel the same about soaps as I do perfumes...heavy florals simply sicken me.  Light and fruity is the way to go for me.

I can't use scented soaps at all. I'm kinda sensitive to smell, they make me woozy.

Bath and body makes a lemongrass sage that smells wonderful.

I like scented soaps, they are part of my daily life.
Not so much for the flower types...they remind me of funerals.

Not big on the blends either.  Just one scent, I'm a simple person.

Soap is a big thing for me. I'm washing my hands in the kitchen constantly, so I am all about buying good stuff. So I'm often talking to the people at the farmers' market that make soaps and lotions, even to the point of helping test new blends... my skin is sensitive enough to react quickly as demonstration that there's too much of X in the mix...

My favorites that you can get in the store, though, are Kiss My Face Olive Oil and most Bee & Flower soaps. Bee & Flower makes a wonderful rose soap with real rose pieces in it. Same goes for their Jasmine. I tend to stick with the B&F sandalwood - just works better on a guy, y'know...

Laundry soap is also a thing, since I need something that'll work on tough stains - if your kitchen whites aren't white, you're just disgusting when you go out to touch tables... So I make my own laundry soap. I use fels naptha, baking soda and borax with occasional doses of good old white vinegar (email me if you want the recipe). Pretty neutral in scent... which is good, as She is very sensitive to smells.

What a great topic...My favorite soap of all time is from a company called Rance from Italy with the scent from from the Acacia tree ...but it is rather pricey and i haven't bought it in a few years...i love anything with a honeysuckle fragrance too...right now i bought from the grocery store a new Dove one called Pro age and it says it is for Vital luminous skin..ha ha..smells pretty good and has a texture to it like an oatmeal soap...[;)]  once by accident i bought some soap from a catalog that sounded interesting (caswell-Massey i think) but  i found out it was for men...so i gave it to my brother![:D]
