Status: offline 		I second Purple Passion. I just got back into the NYC area and have been absolutely stunned by the lack of fetish stores. The Leather Man is not bad either. There's another one on Christopher Street that specializes in latex, but I forget the name.

Status: offline 		I just got back from NYC Went to Purple passion and it was aw-some got a few cool toys and some new cuff's and they match my collar so good i love the padded blue leather ;)
 
I recommend this to anyone els who might want a good store like i did ;)
just one thing wish they had more choices for Enema Nozzles and that

Status: offline 		Here's another plug for Purple Passion. Great store. Tons of stuff, and a great staff to boot. They also do some repairs there as well, I believe. Definitely worth a look.

Status: offline 		Hi,   I live not far from the New York area. Purple Passion is a quality store. As a female, I did have trouble finding gear to fit a smaller person. Collars large, ball gags too big, cuffs for wider wrists. Since Chelsea is populated heavily with males, it is no wonder, I guess.

The staff is great. I was there once with someone who wanted me to try on some clothing. He chose and handed me a cute, extremely brief school girl skirt.  Now, thats nothing unique, but I happened to be wearing thigh high black stiletto boots and black fishnet hose. Slipped on the plaid pleated ( not quite covering my butt) skirt over...

As I exited the curtained dressing room to show my friend - a sales person - a tall, husky rather intimidating appearing woman ( with a great personality and sense of humor) swaggered up and with a booming voice and a smirk said  "Well, well well.. young lady  now EXACTLY where do you think you are going dressed like that?"

I felt soo busted. I really felt 14 and caught switching clothes in a Catholic school girl's bathroom.  I felt the heat rush to my face, and that twisted warp reach my astonished face. She got me!  
She chuckled, large chest heaving and bouncing  Laughing in fun and scored delight at this poor girl-  speechless, open mouthed horror standing exposed in the raw fluorescent glare.  That lady had me instantly-  gawky, self concious and fully humiliated. I even recall closing my knees..

I loved it.  Lady knew her stuff!

Status: offline 		Here's another vote for Purple Passion. London is also wonderful, I've found some wonderful things there that I've found nowhere else. 

You might try the following: Set aside a day for kinky shopping, and start at Purple Passion, then visit the other stores on your list, and then finish at Purple Passion! No store stocks everything, so this will give you an idea about what's around and at what prices, and when you visit other stores, you'll have an idea of what's at PP as you shop. I don't doubt that you'll end your day making most of  your purchases (and assemble an impressive wish list) at PP.
