I was only half-aware of them until recently, but my cousin's German boyfriend stuck on the Völkerball DVD when I was visiting on Saturday. He normally 'regales' me with barely-tolerable West Coast hair metal, but that show blew me away from the first minute. Looks like Lichtspielhaus is the DVD to get if you want that Snow White video for Sonne, though.
Oh, and dragging this thread back on-topic, there's a Sixties flick called The Million Eyes of Sumuru (or sometimes Su Muru), which has Shirley Eaton as a sort of female supremacist intent on World domination. It's complete hokum but there's a couple of very nice scenes, including one where Eaton has the hero tied up in a dungeon and subjects him to a damn good thrashing. Really stirred the loins of the young me, that one did! Damn shame it's not available to buy.
Sadly, it looks like the whipping scene is not on YouTube, but here's another rather fun clip. Dig those decadent, evil women!
