Little Johnny, who studied in a boys' school, had gone on a camping trip with the rest of his class, accompanied by the class teacher, a young lady. At the end of a day of activity, the boys were divided into groups to share tents for the night. The teacher had a separate tent for herself.
Shortly after retiring into her tent, she heard Little Johnny's voice just outside, calling out to her. She crawled out and asked him, "What's the matter, Johnny? Why are you not in your tent with the other boys?"
Little Johnny replied, "Ma'am, I'm not used to sleeping alone. At home I always sleep next to Mommy, or I can't sleep at all. May I sleep in your tent please?"
The teacher feels pity for Little Johnny and says, "All right, you can sleep here."
She lets him in and soon after they lie down together, Little Johnny says to her, "Ma'am, when I sleep next to Mommy, I always put my little finger in her navel, or I can't sleep."
She thinks, "What the heck, it's only a little child wanting to put his little finger in my navel - no big deal", and allows him to go ahead.
The next morning, as the boys are getting ready to start the day, the teacher walks up to Little Johnny and says, "So Johnny, did you sleep well last night?"
And Little Johnny replies, "Yes, Ma'am. Thank you for letting me sleep in your tent."
She then adds, "By the way, that wasn't my navel where you had put your little finger last night."
And he replies, "That wasn't my little finger either, Ma'am."
