I am new here, and am interested in hearing if anyone wishes to share why they became a dom in the first place.

Thoughts, ideas, stories, and advice are all welcome and will be highly appreciated.

it was never a decision to be IT...

I was however a decision to be ME!

just turns out being me.. happens to cause some to see me as Dominant. 

Of course.. it also happens to cause some to see me as Asshole... and I am ok with that. after all.. I am still be true to my decision to be me.

It's not so much choosing to become a Dom, so much as it is discovering that you are a Dom.

I'm a sadistic and kinky freak with loads of creativity. My creativity is best used when I'm in controll of it. I've always had kinky thoughts and desires which I've written down and contimplated. I've tried a little bit of everything. Let's just say the last first and last leash I wore broke and I use it as whip on the other half. I always knew who I was and I proved it by trying and finding what I really like. Being walked on has never been my cup of tea.

I was told there was insurance as well as a discount on some airlines.

Basically what happened was I realized through some experiences that the reason I'd been unsuccessful in my early relationships was because I was always holding back. I'd been told I was "too intense" by several women I dated, but eventually realized that living my life trying to tone down my passion to suit some sort of suburban PG-13 standard was silly.
