Hi folks.

I began dating (and am engaged to) a beautiful woman, but there's a bit of a curve ball. Until we met, I was curious about BDSM but never took part. She's been involved for the better part of two decades.

What I'm hoping to find out by talking to you, and looking around at this and other sites is exactly 'what' I am. I seem to have some strong dominant tendencies... and some strong submissive ones as well. She believes I'm a switch. Perhaps that's true, but I don't really understand how that works. Someone has to be 'in charge' of a scene, right?

As for her, she started as a sub, then switched roles when her master decided he wasn't doing well xx years ago. Since then she's mostly taken on dominant roles ... except lately she's exhibited very submissive signs and encouraged me to 'take over.' (It would help if I knew what the heck I was doing.) She IDs herself as a switch, which again - if true - leads to the above issue.

So...expect an awful lot of questions from someone who tends to overanalyze as he tries to figure out what 'all of this' entails. I hope you're patient!
