We're back from Vegas. Our daughter's wedding went very well, everything fell into place nicely. The Melting Pot did an exceptional job on the reception. I'm not even going to try to catch up on posts but will skim the topics. Hope everyone had a safe 4th and a good week.

Our daughter is friends with several of the divers in the "O" show, so we were invited to watch a rehearsal and got a back stage tour, it was fascinating.[:)]

Win any money?

Hehe...what is the "O" show? We're going to be in Vegas in about 2 weeks with a 16 year old kid. Trying to figure out things to do with him.

NO, i couldn't win a damn thing, $50 here and there, but that didn't last long. My younger daughter won $300 the first day, but lost it all. The groom won 500 and kept it, quit gambling at that point, glad she married a smart man LOL.

The "O" show is a Cirque du Soleil show with a lot of water acrobatics and fancy diving. Our daughter used to be on the national diving team and was asked to audition for it a few years ago, but she declined. I think all of the Cirque du Soleil shows are spectacular, we've seen 4 of them now. There is a naked one in Vegas which we would love to see, but didn't have time this trip. Here's the web site: Cirque du Soleil

Sorry Ant, i didn't even realize you were there, but with all the relatives we had to spend time with there wouldn't have been time this trip, maybe next time.[:)]

50 here and there is better than I normally do.
I'm lucky to win ten...then again I'm not a big gambler so I'm not putting a lot in. I'd rather spend a hundred on a show than give it to a slot machine in 5 minutes.

This trip, I've decided I'm going to waste a hundred on a dollar machine. No idea why....but I've decided I will.

Not sure if that show would be good for the kid or not. Estrict...aka Sandy has been giving me ideas. Never been to Vegas with someone who wasn't at least 18.

Good luck Gloria. I like the dollar Wheel of Fortune Machine, have often done well there. Watch the machines for awhile and pick one that hasn't hit the wheel spin for a long time.

Several of the casinos have amusement parks and arcades that the 16yr old may enjoy.

I like the wheel games to. Anything real animated as well with bonus levels. I'm simple when it comes to that. I usually take about a grand to lose, by the time I've lost about 500 I'm done with Vegas. Which is the first day..

A 16 year old would enjoy them but would a 16 year old enjoy them alone? We have plans to hit the topless pool at one of the casino's...etc.
Which is why we're trying to gear as much of our recreation around him as we can.
Then..going topless won't be too bad if only for a few hours.

I heard about the topless pools but can't remember which casinos have them, sounds fun.
Maybe you will get lucky and the 16yr old will meet someone to hang with. He can probably entertain himself pretty well in Vegas.

I heard it's 113 there this week[:o].

Not this kid. He hangs out with an 11 year old back at home. On the up side...he is just like Doug. Afraid of heights. Afraid of BIG coasters. So, if we ride any it will be me and the cousin together...Doug and the kid.
Yet, doesn't do well for sending him off to say Circus Circus alone.

Anyway, I'm a big kid at heart. It will just curb our normally much more adult activities we partake in.

113 is not bad. How warm is it up in Washington this week?

It was about 78 today, perfect golf weather, supposed to be in the mid 80's this weekend.
