For the record...
I do believe that finding someone who will play multiple roles, (there are way more than just two), with you, roles you both enjoy and in a balance you both enjoy, is probably the hardest single match up to make.
I gave up looking for that sort of arrangement many years ago. I do find it occasionally, and I enjoy it when I do. But otherwise, I just look for several different unidirectional relationships.
