Attention all Foot Enthusiasts!  I need advice.  I just got an awesome pair of black leather heels.  They have about a 2 inch wide strap around the ankle with 2 gold buckles, 3 inch wider heel, open toe with a 1 1/2 inch strap across the foot.  So....my dilemma....what color polish should I use??  The color with the most answers wins.  Oh, and black polish is out - sorry, not my style.  :)

there is a color by OPI that i totally think kicks ass....its music hall curtain call....its i dont know autumn red/orange with gold glitter...kind of bronze like.....pretty!

Precious has some great metallic colors.. My two favorites are the sapphire blue and the chrome...

I love darker reds with black open toed shoes. There's a color by OPI called I'm Not Really a Waitress that kicks ass!

As indicated by my profile name, red is always my first choice.  There are sooo many shades to choose from too.  Going for the submissive look is a whole different thing.  I would suggest a very feminine shade of pink.  OPI has so many colors - I would start there.  Sorry, but I have no particular names to recommend as I never wander into that territory. [;)]

Nail color should coordinate with the clothes that you wear. 
And, color on the toes should match the color on your hands.

Going simply by the color of the shoes (basic black) - any color will be fine.

If you wear a variety of different colors (shoes or clothes) through the week and don't change your nail color frequently 'or' are currently uncertain about the outfit that you'll be wearing with your cute little black sandals.....go with a "French Manicure"

ok if I coordinated my polish with every outfit change I'd never do anything but change polish or I'd have a very boring wardrobe between polish changes. 

I love tangerines and autumn oranges myself.  Though I tend to choose shades and colors based on the time of year.  My opinion is that pastel pink has no place in October and burnt russett has no place in June.  Candy Apple reds are for winter, so on and so forth. 

I don't know why I feel this way but I do.  So...since we are in September...I vote a light bronze.

hello!! i dont know if you already decided..

but vamp by chanel would look really good...it's a dark dark red that's almost plum in color..

anyways..it's beautiful!

Mine are almost always a clear dark red just because it's what I prefer.

I actually do change my polish for just about every outfit I wear....Not for just bumming around the house and working with the cows, but anytime we go out with friends or anywhere, I make sure my nails (toes and fingers same color) match or at least coordinate with what Im wearing....So, as far as the shoes go...since they are black, just about anything would work....but I always think bolder colors look better with black, and softer colors look better with brown or tan shoes.....

If you dont want to have to change polish often, or cant for some reason, go with the french manicure, its always hot no matter what you are wearing...This is what I do when we are going camping for a week and wont be able to change polish like I do at home.

No black, hmmmn. Have you checked out the new softer "blacks"?  OPIs Lincoln Park At Midnight is a plumish black and very hot.

I love gold nail polish myself. Since the buckles are gold, maybe that could be an option?

I started a Nail Polish thread less than a month ago.  There is an OPI's colors site listed ......I hope it helps.  BTW, I vote for red or muted dark pink, but then again, i favor those colors.

I think that you should put little pictures on your toenails, and lacquer them with a clear coat, so that people keep coming up to you and bending closer and closer to your feet, saying, "Who is that a picture of?" and "Is that a body part, on your big toe?", and "Hey!  You kicked me!  ...do it again?"

Clothes colors: I like to wear pink, purple, red and also green along with my basic black.

Nail color that always works with everything I have: a warm coral. 

My manicurist keeps making up a new bottle for me based on a fvaorite shade of coral I can't find in the stores anymore.

Sounds like OPI is a clear winner as their polish goes on really well and stays forever.  My favorite OPI red is Dutch Tulips.  It is a clear red with a hint of hot pink.  I have been wearing it for years.
