Before General Patraeus even gives his report to Congress, the Dems (who voted in favor of confirming him) claims he is a "mouthpiece" to the Bush administration and cannot be trusted.

I'm not saying that Iraq is in good shape, but why does it seem like the Democrats are just simply wanting to reject any form of good news about this war. They make it so obvious how they are politicizing this war for their own political gain. And this is supposed to be a party that supports our troops?

Give me a break. Even the New York Times had a report that the conditions in Iraq have improved since the surge began.

Well, isn't he?

The GAO has already weighed in. The Iraqis have FAILED to meet 11 of 18 requirements. That's what?

39% out of 100%?

They scored a 39! Yeah.

Bush's POLICY has failed, and Petraeus has failed to successfully translate Bush's Policy into effective Strategy.

Who cares what he has to say? He's irrelevant to the discussion.

Bush *likes* to say, "We need to listen to the Generals"..

No *WE* don't. *HE* does.

*WE* need to listen to BUSH. And like Bush needs to learn to hold his Generals accountable for their failure, we need to learn, as a people how to hold Bush accountable.

Or do you propose moving the goalposts closer, YET ONCE AGAIN?

How many more Freidman-Units do you want to wait?

There is no good news. Unless you're happy that the local provinces have pretty much completed their ethnic cleansing, and seek to tighten their own local control ( as opposed to the useless, pointless and irrelevant Baghdad government. )

Well, the only other option is SUPPORTING it for your own FINANCIAL Gain.

Other than that, you gotta oppose it completely.

Or, if you're of age and fitness to serve, serve.

You're *SERIOUSLY* suggesting the New York Pravda (times) is worthy of respect?

Here's the URL to the pdf from the GAO itself.

Petraeus failed to implement the strategy needed to promote Bush's DUMB FUCKING Policy.

What else did *anyone* really expect?
