Sorry Vad, but that's just a bit too much for me and my tastes!  Sorry, but it just reminds me of the bicycle locks they had when I was a kid that I used for my old green Schwin!

But I guess if you're into the Retro look...

Personally, I think it's brilliant.. no need to call a locksmith or dig out the bolt cutters if a key is lost... lol

I have to explain, it came about because I was asked to make a bracelet out of 1/2 inch Stainless with the bicycle lock like the collars I make. I had made some Allen and magnetic closing collars out of 1/2 inch as a request but can't bend any smaller than a small collar. So I experimented with my regular 3/8 stock to see if I could add the combination lock to it. I do make bracelets that have Allen screw, magnetic and regular padlock closings. This was an experiment and kind of fun to do, sort of like the wooden Turian style collar I made a few weeks ago. I'm going to try aluminum next to keep the bulky look but not have the weight. I do like getting feedback and appreciate your thoughts, Thanks.

Vad;

There is an idea afoot for a shocking device. It's in the forum but I'll describe what I need here.

Locking bracelets, but with strong magnets mounted in them. These would trigger a Hall Effect device in the shocker unit to keep the subbie's hands away from the "forbidden" area.

Think you can do something ?

Termyn8or,When I feel my day going too smoothly, I go and read some of the 'electronic shock thread. That will be sure to give me a headache for I have no clue about electricity. All I know is what I learned from Joseph Lucas "If you let the smoke out, it ceases to function"But I might be able to insert a magnet to one of my bracelets /cock rings. I do make rings using a magnet closing system.Let me know what you have in mind.

Geez, I don't think I've heard that term used since engineering school!  But then my degree was in mechanical engineering, not electrical.   LOL!

Have to admit, it makes me want to dust off a couple of my old text books and look up some of the fundamental relationships just to refresh my memory.

Vad, very cool idea and experiment there. Not my taste but I am sure there are a lot out there that will love it. I have enjoyed all your items though. You are a very gifted craftsman.

Thank you for the kind words cuffnspankme.
Little did I know that this is what I would be making.
I used to make toys for over 30 years... now I'm making adult toys.

Vad -
I dig it. Not for use, however, with the forgetful.   Hmmm...was it my ex-mother-in-law's birthday, or my Aunt Edna's anniversary?

Luckily we keep the numbers on file. Last week we had to mail a combination in a sealed envelope to a customer. That is probably a good idea anyway in case of an emergency.

The spreader bar sounds like a most excellent idea and I might just make one today. I will post a photo after I finish it. Thank you!

I really like your work. Do you make a more delicately styled bracelet? I'm on the lookout for one.

camille,
No sorry, my background is in machining and model making... and that shows in my designs.

RNstepsout,
Thank you also and that is the look I'm after.

I made a ankle & wrist spreader bar today as suggested by InkedMaster...
then some Harleys showed up... well let's just say I never got to take the camera out.
I'll post the results of the work tomorrow.
