Hair Bondage Question.. - 9/7/2007 10:04:24 PM

I really love rope bondage and have been trying to grow my hair to try hair bondage. I was just wondering what is a good length for a successful attempt at it? I am attaching 3 links here of my hair length. Any advice is welcome and thank you for your time and attention.

i LOVE hair bondage...its so much fun when you can pull your own hair, thru your Top's control, while they are busy elsewhere...if that makes any sense....

technique 3 you could even do on yourself...and is a good quickie for a restraint point...the 1st one you could have someone do on you...i've had someone do it on me when my hair was that long....the middle one takes way too long....lol...but looks pretty...

From the looks of it your hair is plenty long now. Really what depends on length is the rope and what your tying your hair too. If you can get your hair into a bun you can do hair bondage. There is a great hair bondage how to video on the www.twistedmonk.com website.

all the pics including your avatar pic look long enough for me....if you can braid it, you can bondage it, lovely lady *S*

For anyone wondering: As far as I'm concerned the biggest issue in hair bondage is how healthy your hair. Does a lot come out in the shower or during brushing? Do you have split ends? Is your hair dry or oily? All of these things can effect hair bondage. If you have any issues with your hair see a good stylist (not the $10 cut places) for recommendations on more healthy hair.

Of course if you have gobs coming out when you shampoo then even more will come out when in hair bondage. Dry hair will break when put in bondage, oily hair may slip when put in bondage.

What I know about unhealthy hair you can fit in a single strand of hair....but I'll share the little I know: If your hair comes out in the shower or when brushing, in what seems like gobs (providing you are otherwise healthy) chances are you have a vitamin defiency that an over the counter an MVI might help. (Check with your M.D.) Split ends occur when hair is brushed improperly and when you don't trim the ends often enough. Dry and oily...well there are a zillion shampoos and conditioners on the market for such things.....find the one that works for you.

Maybe someone will come along and expound on the techniques for fixing less than perfectly healthy hair *S*

wend some jute or other reasonable cordage in cornrows in your hair, you gotta know someone who can teach you cornrows. That is the bomb, right there.

You certainly have plenty for hair bondage.

I do recommend using a 4mm or 6mm natural fiber rope for it, rather than synthetics. The first time(s) I tried it, with my synthetics, the slipping against the hair didn't help at all. Still, most of my work on it has been with Solid Braid Multifilament Polypropelene or Nylon.

Your hair definitely looks long enough for bondage. Depending on the texture of and how fine your hair is, you may have issues with slipping. You might want to have a little bit of hairspray handy to kind of "kink" (heh heh I made a funny!) up your hair a bit if it's slippy.

Depending on the type of tie you are going to use, you don't need more than about 4 inches of hair in a pony tail to do some form of hair bondage. From the pics you provided, you have plenty of hair. Most of the ties that I use constrict around the hair as the rope is pulled so there aren't any issues with breakage or slipping no matter how fine or damaged the hair is. That particular one looks really cool if you use two different colored ropes and you can tie a metal ring into the end so you have an easy attach point. Obviously hair is not suitable for full or even partial suspension. As for rope, I use 1/4" solid braid MFP for all my hair bondage.

Off topic, am I the only person who really hates hair bondage? My neck gets sore from being kept in one position. I really need to be able to relax the muscles and can't with my hair tied. Or do the rest of you get a little slack in the ropes so you can turn your head as needed?
