I don't look at it as a for of submission, maybe as a form of, 'I'm very comfortable with you to do xyz in your presance' sure, that I can understand. Going to the restroom with the door open or your partner in attendance is just as intimate, without the physical contact of excretment.

Great post shyinini, very eloquently stated, i agree 100%.  The title should read scat fetish not submission - that was one of my first thoughts before i even clicked on it.  Nothing wrong with having any fetish - but why cloak it in submission... call it what it is - a fetish.

I cannot stay out of the discussion .....I am very much into scat even though I know the health risks....
I dislike most of the scat links and porn links asthey are faked up...and the reason I am into it is for sensation reasons particular to my body
It's still minority play and I only ever have had one relationship in which a Dom and I mailed and text and phoned extenisively about scat.

But to really get into it on a reality basis I feel demands an acceptance of the other at the SMELL level...

I'll exchange scat ideas by private email with athose who are interested.

I will do anything my Master requires of me, not because it is a fetish, but because he requires it and it is a way for me to express myself as I need to.  This has included the practice of scat that you speak of.

~fast reply~ I'll be in the minority here and say I've had experience with scat play both as a Top and a bottom.  It has a been very intimate and primal form of power exchange in both so it's been as fetish and an act within D/s.  Now there are health risk involved as many have mentioned some more than other forms of BDSM play.  But remember in several elements of BDSM play their are health risks involved.

Thank you all for your responses. What I really enjoy about Scat is that it is such a taboo and unacceptable act for most people and ofr Society that when one finds a mistress willing to perform this act it becomes by far the most intimate experience you can share with her. It is so difficult to ask someone about performing Scat on you that once you have broken the taboo you feel completely free to be yourself and a whole new level of relationship is reached.

 There need not be all the judgment and critizism towards SCAT. I was once with a 24 year old female who became someone I couldn't chase away because there was no pressure. I doubt if you mean that. in my experience, this is the kind of subject where those who do practice or have an interest will usually stay out of the thread, because it is such a socially unacceptable fetish, but there will be plenty of posts, of the ewwwww... kind. a few who try to participate relevently, who are 'usually' YKIOK, but discuss real concerns, but more of the just go ewwww.... kind. if that is what you are looking for, i take it you found it?

uh, how much study and research have you done on the subject? Do you know that the human mouth has more germs and bacteria than anywhere else in your body. And, other cultures and people in Japan and Europe have been into scat for centuries. The Marquis de Sade the most notable who pretty much invented the SM/BD lifestyle that you are participatig in today. Yeah this thread was going on a year out of the loop and it was brought up to make a Pro Scat Statement but not offer anything new to the original question come on it is okay to be into what you are into but not everyone else does and no one has to like something that the don't just because you think they should.

Poo is Poo some are okay with it some aren't I am not but that doesn't make scat wrong it just makes it not MY thing.

That statement is dead wrong.  There are risks of intestinal diseases, etc.  Getting a periodic blood panel is not sufficient.  One example, among many:

Total hard limit for me. If others what to practice that fetish then hey what ever floats your boat, but way to icky, sticky, messy and smelly for my tastes.


I don't see it as intimate, i'd say it would be more a humiliation thing in my mind and I don't do humiliation. And well I don't like the feel of more mainstream things on my skin/body, so the idea of fecal matter on me, totally makes my skin crawl. nope nope nope, totally not for this chick

Plus I have a low ick tolerance, smell, sight and feel of it would cause a whole new fetish to suddenly come into play. Called rainbow play [:'(]

Considering that Giardia seems to the be least of the worries, and IMO its about the worst six weeks your bowels can have... I just don't see how the risk could be worth it? I can feel intense intimacy with Master without the chance of having the squirts and burping rotten eggs for over a month. icky.

If other people like it, cool for them. Everyone is allowed fetishes, whether I understand them or not.

hmmm.... since i have never done scat, i have not, perhaps, thought it out, in as much detail as akisha. I am a woman who must wash her hands 15 times in order to complete normal cooking chosres like, making a meatloaf or breading fried chicken or forming hamburgers I don't like the feel of stuff on my hands, as akisha said. Yep, that might be a deterant to this fetish, if i were drawn to it in the first place. interesting that i never thought that out.
I always find it interesting when people point out factors in fetishes i don't have that i never even considered, that make them .... even less my thing than they were before? like people that want to give me far more details about animals than i desire, in my email, for instance. it's like, 'okay, i hadn't really thought of doing that, and now i'm DOUBLE not thinking of it!'
