Yeah and it's amazing that the Kennedys can claim to be environmentalists with a straight face.  None of them has ever hit a lick at a snake, but they love to tell the rest of us what we should be doing to make the country better.

Oddly enough this may be the first time in my life that I find myself in agreement with Kennedy. The Nantucket / Cape Cod area is both beautiful and historic. It should be kept as is as much as possible. No one would consider placing windmills in a national park or wildlife protection area. I suspect there are plenty of other possible locations for these windmills and that the power companies are simply looking at the Nantucket area because the water is relatively shallow making installation cheaper. I'd personally have concerns about this area simply from the amount of local boating alone. This is a huge recreational and commercial boating zone. The windmills would be a navigation hazard, particularly in poor visibility. For this reason no one would suggest placing windmills in New York Harbor or Chesapeake Bay, it shouldn't be considered in the Nantucket Sound either.

I have absolutly no problem putting a windmill in a park, virtually all parks and wilderness areas have development already.  New York harbor is tiny compared to the chessapeake bay, plenty of room for windmills.  The depth of the water is not an issue, they go on bouys, the consistency of the wind is the main issue in windmill placement.  If we have to keep Nantuket pristine, lets tear down all the houses, and make it illegal to go there.

Churro, do you expect anything less from those Assholes?
That's one of the (many) reasons that I got out of that state decades ago.
What's that saying about the "third generation and money?"
The Kennedys are a crime family just like the Mafia.
No difference. His old man Joe was a boot legger and a Nazi sympathiser.
His kid "Patches" Kennedy the boy "congressman" is functionally illiterate. Gee, how'd he ever get a degree? ($?)
("I, myself, have taught myself.")
One time Patches had a local Boston Newsanchorwoman on his boat and she felt so threatened by him she called the Coast Guard to come and get her.
That whole family is rife with drug use, active alcholism, lieing, cheating, stealing, crime.
Joe Kennedy crippled a girl for life in a rollover accident and stopped making  payments to her.
Another one was banging his 15 year old babysitter!
If these people didn't have money they'd all be working on a loading dock somewhere!
You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig.
And the people in that state buy into that "Camelot" Bullshit!
They wouldn't want these people as neighbors.
What's theirs is theirs and what's your's is theirs.
Look at the crap that Ted comes up with in the Senate.
I think that by any stretch of the imagination 45 years or whatever it is in the Senate is WAY too much for anyone.
Politically, the people of Massachusetts are stupid, or as Patches Kennedy would say "Stoopid."
And I don't mean run of the mill stupid I mean keep pulling on the "Push" door stupid.
We're talking "Cambridge Stupid!"
If you're from Massachusetts and you voted for Ted Kennedy you're *FUCKIN STUPID!*
Put your head in the oven and turn on the gas.
Don't even try to talk to me or I'll put you on "Block."
