WOW, I have to chose between Karen Carpenter, Patsy Cline & Alison Krause? Sheeeeesh...

Ella was on a previous poll and didn't make it to the finals. Such a shame. No taste, I tell ya!!!

This group was tough, but my vote is for Patsy. She's a classic. So is Karen, but Patsy just a little bit more in my opinion.

I selected Karen Carpenter. I've always loved her voice... it was one of the most naturally beautiful that I heard back in the day. Besides, I remember seeing her in concert, and her voice has always stuck with me through these years.

The semi-finals pitted some great voices against each other on the same page, so that voting for one knocked the others out of contention... leaving a lot of popular celebrities and decent pop singers in the final poll.

But that full length picture of Karen Carpenter on the spine of their last LP was hawt...

It was only my deep concern over your viewing pleasure that prompted the question. It seemed you had devoted an awful lot of time to these polls and wanted to make sure that the lack of summer weather in Texas this year had not supressed your desire to watch football.

Yeah, where is our summer? And they're saying we'll probably get our first cool front Tuesday night, sheesh.

I love music probably as much as football , so the polls have been quite fun for me. I may come out with a whole series of them.

From the choices offered, I guess Norah is the best in my opinion. But no Stevie Nicks, Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch, Kasey Chambers, Margo Timmins??????
