zaynab -> BDSM severity level rating? (7/14/2005 5:49:39 PM)

Hi friends,
does anyone happen to know if there is any type of severity level rating scale for BDSM?
for movies they have G, PG, R, X
what about BDSM?

the other day, i had pics sent to me of what a couple liked and they actually traumatized me.... *laughing......not kidding!

thought it might be helpful to put something on my profile that said R-rated, or X-rated, instead of Extreme-rated or whatever....

Sorry, but the International Association of BDSM Grand Masters has yet to publish their ratings system. Perhaps they'll do so at their next quarterly meeting.

Well I got tired of dorks IMing and asking "how submissive are you" so I created the Winston-Schaler Scale of Submission.

I'm a 7.6 or "more submissive than a piece of toast."

Other than "fluffy" "light" "medium" "heavy" "edgy" and "extreme" there really aren't any specific thigns to put, mostly because it's so individualized.

I consider knives to be fairly light, whips to be heavy, breathplay to be edgy and needles/surturing/cutting to be extreme.

Someone else's spectrum could look exactly opposite to me.

Not to mention, most types of play can be fluffy or extreme. Cuffing someone to the bed is fairly mundane, while severe encasement might go to the extreme level.

Are you authorized to give submissiveness quotes? I find myself needing one to save the trouble of answering the same question. A level would be very helpful

;)

thanks for answering, friends... i see your point Emerald... knives? no way, to me that's too scarey... whips are fine... i always liked breathplay a lot.... so to me that's no biggie... and as for needles/suturing/cutting, i only play like that with my doctor or gyn...
lol

wonder if there are any plastic surgeon Dom's who get off giving tummy tucks lol

LOL don't they realize that question is a huge "Has no idea what he's talking about" signal?

Let's say you're a 7.2, or more submissive than a tire rack.

Seriously. I can't answer it just like I can't answer "are you submissive." Submissive to what? To whom? When?

Anyway. THank you :) THe number helps, and shall be the frustration of many cyberwankers in days to come.

WTF is a tire rack??? Severity level to me means the guy wants sado-masocism, and i'm not a masocist; so move it along, buddy.

What sort of toast are we talking about here? French? lightly golden? Rock hard crunchy charred toast?
