    I am new to the BDSM lifestlye. For pretty much the summer I have communicated via e-mail with people that are currently into BDSM. I was invited to a BDSM party, but had to cancel due to unforseen circumstances. I have also missed a few local munchies. On that note, does anyone have suggestions about meeting or communicating with a domme in regarding to playing out scenes? If not scenes, but just treating her to lunch or coffee. Thank you for your time.

You have the right idea. Get out and mingle.  If you are looking online it's a bit harder. You need to have patience in that aspect. Online is way diffrent than r/t in the fact of not seeing face to face.  But I think you have a good start on trying to find your local scene[:)]

I've been led to believe that there tend to be more male sub's than Domme's, leading to difficulty for male sub's to find a Domme for them.  My point being, it may take a while, so if it doesn't happen right away, it's probably not your fault.

One thing I'd suggest doing is to deeply consider what you'd like to try first.  After looking at your profile, it seems you identify as a bottom (submissive in scene play, vanilla outside of it).  That's a good thing to know going in.  Considering some of your turn-ons (which you may even consult the list in the Edit Profile area of the site for some names and basic descriptions) you may have, and some limits, and compiling them into a list may help make communication go more smoothly since you'll be better aware of your own perferences.

If you start attending some of those munches, then good!  Personally, I've never been to a munch- I've been able to find slave girls in vanilla life.  Exactly how open you are to exposure and those you hang out with modify the chances you have in finding Domme's in a vanilla setting.

I strongly recommend you attend local community events as this will give you the best exposure to dommes’ who might be sincerely into what you are looking for and since you are new it can greatly help you to see how we in the life are truly are and not get a distorted Internet view of how you are suppose to behave or a Domme is like.

Also I commend you on describing your experience and what you are specifically looking for in your profile but also advise you to be patient. Remember all female dominants available does not mean all of them just want scenes only.

And really, really try never to stand anyone up for a meeting-gives one a VERY bad rep. And thank you for being adult, and not whining-it's very refreshing.

Thank you all for your encouragement and suggestions. I was able to check out a local party on Saturday evening. I went there mainly to soak in the atmosphere and meet a few people.  Its small, but its a start. I was fortunate enough to play out a flogging scene was domme. It was something where a girl is assertive and in charge. Lastly, I enjoyed watching the scenes where doms were flogging and spanking a female sub. Overall, I enjoyed it and will be back to future gatherings. On a postive note, there is munch this Wednesday, I will be there. Thanks you all.
