Anyone here who likes to read me should contact me, as the frequency of my posting here is about to subside.

We have a thread about Ron Paul, Paulies, remember ? This is one of the most important things in life, the selection of a new leader for our country, and certain people have turned it into a fucking personal argument with quotes on top of quote and inside of quotes. This is bullshit. If you don't like a motherfucker don't fucking talk to them.

They both purport to bring the truth, yet each refuses to believe just about anyhting the other says. I am thoroughly sick of it. I take a half an hour of my valuable time and write a cogent and comprehensive response to the thread, and others just carry on with their petty points.

Just so you all know, I will not be gone. I am just as much a member here as you all are, and goddammit I got a right to say what I want. Of course there are a few topics that are a bit sensitive. Whatever, from now on, when I got something to say I will start a new thread. All the time. You keep your arguments and bickering where you had them, I do not want to put up with it. I have agreed to disagree and dropped the subject many times, those days are over. If I see one quote getting on someone else's post, or anything that resembles an argument I will respond with a new thread. Please, all the bickering bitches and teenage mentality people stay the fuck out of my threads.

I am tired of this, quote inside of quote inside of quote inside of quote. STOP. You make the thread 9,000 fucking pages and then say "prove it" or some shit. This is ridiculous. First of all stop quoting, if you do not agree, it is stooooooooooooooopid to quote. How the fuck much IQ do you need to figure that out ? Fuck, I'll lend you some of mine if I have to.

Alot of people, even people who engage in this bickering which I detest have brought up many good points, but it seems that certain enemyships have been formed before I got here. Well I am sick of it, so if you start a thread say "Bush ate puppies in national guard" and there is bickering going on, my response will be in a new thread like "Re:Bush ate puppies in national guard". Got it ?

I am sick of this shit and I ain't putting up with it anymore. I don't have time to read the Encyclopedia Britanica for every little fucking issue. And when you pollute a thread about Ron Paul with your fucking bickering and accusational nature, you are doing a great disservice to the country, CM and anyone on the internet.

Some of my posts contain information, and simple logic. Some of them I up and say "I need no quotes for this", like when you turn on the water it will run, if not then something is wrong. Sometimes my points are just a combination of known facts, and noone seems to want to debate them. Instead, my post gets buried within hours by two or three people arguing something off topic and fucking nobody wants to hear it. Don't you guys know how to use the mail system ?

I have only been in a couple of these things and I don't want into another. Mod11 has shutdown a couple of my threads because they caused too much bickering. Take the hint. Not only do I not want to bicker, the powers that be do not want it either. Here we have a golden opportunity to express unpopular political views, and just like anything else, until somebody fucks it up.

You know who you are, and you know that I agree with some of you, so get settled down. Stop quoting the fucking dictionary to make a point about a tse tse fly. Stop making me read sixteen thousand words, with your six word reply afterwards. Please, or my participation in this forum will diminish even further. Possibly to the point where I just don't come back.

I participate here to try to enlighten and educate, although many are smart here, we all know different things. If you do not want my input, just say so. I don't have the time to waste. This fucking stoooooooooopid bickering has to go.

You've been here a long time now.  Welcome to collarme.  This is something everyone here who cares about anything they have to say goes through numerous times.
There are always going to be people here who have nothing to say...yet want to say something so they do.
Simple as that.  By less posting or pulling away, it does nothing but help you to heal in some respects.

Take some time off, come back in a limited capacity.  You may or may not do better the next time around.
It certainly does not do you any good to vent here on it as you have already witnessed.

8, you are just having a rough day.

either i missed the spats- or i dont view the ones that are enemy type. i stick to off topic and polls- so maybe it is elsewhere on the board.

my experience has been= the folks here are sharp- and wiling to share their knowledge.

i been online for years...and seen some doesy acts- including lifes being dezstroyed as a "sport".

i choose not to be part of that murky stuff.

i enjoy your posts 8.

anyhow hugs and wishing you a happy day.  roger

if the presidential election is that important to you, I'd recommend expending your energy in a different fashion.

I have learned not to participate in threads longer than four pages.  that's the average time it takes for it to disintegrate into a pissing match between the USUAL SUSPECTS, if you catch my drift.  and it doesn't really matter what the facts are, or where they came from, because they're all subject to suspicion.

as my Daddy has said, and I've quoted here before, "why do you want to let a bunch of faceless tools on the internet upset you?"

I like to see a quote of what the person is replying to; otherwise, after a page or so, it is often impossible to know what their post is following up. This also keeps people from paraphrasing or slanting your original words differently. I wish people would only quote the needed section, though. This is often only a paragraph, or even a sentence. Doing this would not lead to the everexpanding pages upon pages of quotes. Now, for the arguments, pettiness, etc........that is just something that is going to happen. It is like graffiti; just ignore it and read on to the meaningful posts.

The problem, I have learned, with quoting only the "needed" section is that some people will throw a hissy fit that you didn't respond to them point by point.

"why do you want to let a bunch of faceless tools on the internet upset you?"

That is a great question, the answer is of course, you shouldn`t.

With the war in Iraq,an early presidential campaign, and so much on the line, feelings get hot.

But we shouldn`t get upset over the so called bickering,or heated words.

We shouldn`t resist the debate, b/c our feelings get hurt.

Steel sharpens steel.

true enough...I just prefer to sharpen mine with someone whose opinion I value, not a nameless, faceless stranger.

Not for nothing,I would love/like to see photos of posters. At least you can see who it is you`re talking to,lol.

Though there is certainly a person doing the writing, who the fuck knows if it`s a male posing as a female,or a kid playing w/ big brothers PC.etc.

Even though it comes from a nameless, faceless poster, there are still ideas there to consider.Opinion sparks and creates opinion.Debate sparks debate.Ideas encourage ideas.

Steel sharpens steel.

One thing is for sure.As long as young men are dying in Iraq(eight more died today, btw),the debate will rage.No one person`s feelings, are more important than this debate.

I have been told by the moderator to limit/cut down my quoting, especially if I only respond with one sentence.

Makes sense,to save space and all. After a few pages though,it`s easy to lose track without a quote to refer to.Oh well......
