Original Intro Denied - 9/10/2007 6:03:38 PM

Previously posed an introduction and it was denied as the moderator viewed my intro as an advertisement.

So, tell me, how do you introduce yourself?

With just your name?

Can I tell you something about myself?

Can I mention why I'm here and recount a funny experience?

Can I mention the area I live in?

Well, guess this will have to do as my introduction. Bland, banal and boring.  It's the anthesis (sp?) of me, but it will have to do, or else I'll again have my posting denied.

Cheers

Domina Elly

P.S.  Have become so dependa/ent on Spell Check, cannot be sure if a word is spelled correctly any more -- does this happen to you?

i've had the same experience myself.
it scared me away a bit for a while, but my curiosity wins out....
i think i'll just lurk for a while and try to learn the protocol...

Why should you be told?
Why cant you decide for yourself after doing your own research? Are you lazy lol?

But as ive only just joined myself, didnt have any problems. Take a look, its brief.
If people wish to know detail, presumably they will take a look at my profile.

Which when i can be arsed, ill fill out.
i guess less is more in this instance? Dunno.

You are mercurial, aren't you.

If you had checked on the intros you would have noticed that others tell about themselves, adding the information I queried.

My judgment is that the moderators approve according to their own standards.

For your information, there is no such thing as protocal -- there are good manners and respect.  Protocol would require an agreement in standards and specifics, a lengthy tome to write.

You would do well to reread your replies to posts before hitting the add button.

But then your rudeness woke me up and, without coffee....

Cassie:

Don't lurk, unless, of course, that is what you want.

This site is free and we can all use it.  It's delightful and you'll hopefully correspond and meet with someone to your liking.

Enjoy.
