ya know ,I am a canadian living in america and I dont understand why americans think that their game is so much better than ours, could it be because its so much easier???[:D]

Well, I'd say it's "better" because the players are better. Now, I didn't start this thread to diss the CFL, I love football wherever it's played. [X(]

And aren't there 20 guys on each side up there?

FR

but it's not football, either side of the border. Football is a game that was banned by Henry VIII because it distracted yeomen from their archery practise. What you lot play is a form of rugby. What you call soccer is the real football.....'cos you kick the ball with your foot.......

Is that why Beckman keeps calling soccer football?

The CFL game is superior to the NFL game in many ways- IMHO. Less downs, larger end zone, more movement and risks.

Also, most our players are real people who have jobs in the off season, not billionaire gladiators with animal cruelty fetishes.

But soccer is better than both...

Count me as one!  I was there when the Grey Cup was raised in the U.S. for the only time (as in literally - I was standing next to Mike Pringle when he lifted the Cup to the crowd at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore).  One of my fondest sports memories - particularly considering how the Colts were taken from us.

And considering my second language and my wife's family's heritage, becoming an Alouettes fan after that was a snap.
