Air Force officials said the mistake was a serious breach of rules and that an investigation began immediately. Thats no bullshit^^^^^ The aircraft's pilots and other crew members were unaware that they were carrying nuclear warheads, officials said this on the other hand is absolute bullshit

I think the real question this raises is "What weapons are MISSING from our stockpile, and WHO HAS THEM???" If 6 nuclear armed cruise missiles "Just Get Misplaced", how many nukes have been sold to say, The Saudi Terrorists Bush Supports?

At this point, I feel it's fairly safe to assume that no terrorist organization has been actively using nuclear warheads. And I'm not entirely sure why they'd buy them without intent to use.

This is going to seem like American bashing, but really it isnt. What it is, is to ask whoever is watching (and they are) to seriously take a look at how the USAF does its business. My belief is, US personnel are easily as good as their UK counterparts - and it must be the organisation that lets the whole thing down. The number of "friendly fire" incidents (that have been investigated) that have occurred, and now something like this, just tells me that the guys and gals doing the job are not the problem - it is the systems by which they are doing their jobs which really need to be looked at. Oh please....i'd like to know who the idiot with an agenda was that leaked the story. It's a serious breach of procedures if this was an accident. (I can't think of a safer way to transport nukes than an 8 engine bomber). There's a full court press to make the military look like a bunch of stupid murdering savages and I for one am sick and tired of it. That's all this story is. For those without a basic background in physics, you can't make an implosion device nuclear warhead detonate via collision or via external explosives. (You can certainly make a clean up mess though, and in the process cause a bunch of sheeple to stampede and hurt themselves when they happen to run into the closest pointy object).

I am guessing the bird either had these nukes on before for a actual mission. Missions with nukes on them are flown often, for deterinc, and in all honesty doing so really poses no threat to most citizens. South Carolina had a bbomb dropped on it during the cold war. It leveled a small shed and a out house, and was the only nuke ever to be dropped on US soil. That said the material didn't go off(which is almost impossibleto do) and the area was easily cleaned up. You can go out and see the place if you want. The larger question is why did the warheads get brought out if they werent scheduled, and or not put away. As much as you guys are worried, I am sure they figured this crap out fast, I am sure all our weapons are accounted for even with the occasional mistake. Russia on the other hand, not so good.
